Yeah he stated that the Pope was the anti Christ.
Ha ha ha ha
Yeah well the hated of catholic and banging their wee drums while singing up to your knees in fenien blood. Wouldn't shock me they think that.Probably lol.
That's something stated in the Westminster Confession of Faith which is scholastic Calvinism. It'll be quite common up your way with the Presbyterian churches if they follow it to the letter.
I don't do clubs either really, but we'll see
TheGirlOnFire may not like the conference, though. Heck, you may not even like it! It's pretty full-on stuff lol, but I suppose you at least have some idea of what to expect from the sermons you've listened to.
The sermons have been very good, and it's in every new Christian's interest to listen to them. I just don't like it when he starts getting excited - he tends to shout a bit.
If he's speaking at the conference, and he starts to get excited, I shall just yell out "can we calm it down a bit please John?"
Oooh...you're talking about that guy who was at my church today.Hehe
Sorry, couldn't help myself.
I would go with you to the conference if I didn't live across the pond.
Long flight, but if you want to fly then you're welcome to.
I may be in Tampa next year too, so I'll come visit and see Sproul too!
Did you get a chance to listen to any of those things I linked?
Also, this is good news
Son, we have churches older than your country
You just gotta run it in, don't cha? Why stop there? You want some salt to put on the wound? A spritz of lemon juice perhaps?

I've listened to Christ Christ above all.It drew me in, and will listen to the others later today. I admit, the thing that actually drove me away from Christianity, was logically I don't believe that the Bible is built on factual evidence. In some ways, that is important to me, but if I travel back to the faith, it will most likely be because I want to 'know' Jesus more. I don't think that I experienced him in the way that I'm feeling right now. He was always 'out there' somewhere, and now I feel he is 'in here.' (points to my heart) It is hard to explain. lol
I appreciate you taking the time with me and sending those links. I'll pm you back as to my thoughts. The Bible one will probably come last
For me, faith should be about experience, and less about reading a book and having to believe what a group of people claimed to be truth thousands of years ago. But if one experiences Christ, that means the most. (imho)
Cool! I really like that one as well.
I am glad things are still positive and it seems quite common that a lot of people have been professing Christians but always felt quite distant from Christ.
Maybe the difference now is something like in the Parable of the Sower. Maybe the seed is now falling on the fertile soil whereas before it was falling on the rocky ground
Did someone say salt?
