One more row and I'm done with the hood part of my cape!!

Blasted thing... Took over two weeks to finally settle on a crochet pattern for it. Had to rip out a few hours of crochet work several times. :p

I don't know how you have the patience for that. I knows the basics of crochet and knitting, but I never got past making a square or rectangle, lol.

Well, its not THAT bad, but its....... not good either. Id take you to some of the nicer spots if you wanted to swim..... but..... mostly its just the locals landfil and dump. Of course you wont see this on any travel brochure.

The waves are a joke, the sand is gross looking although part of its looking nasty is due to river run off into the gulf of mexico. So, unlike the pristine beaches elsewhere, you have river sediment mixing with what is the normal sand of other beaches and you get a brown...... muck.

The other stuff that the locals and tourists do to it doesn't help any. If California or Florida is the paradise of beaches. Galveston is Chernobyl.

It can look okay-good in some places if you know where to go, but over all...... not so much.

Luckily there are other places to have fun around here.

Well, I wouldn't worry about missing the view of the mountains while driving at night as, that would be one of the places I would have the whim to stick around for. I've loved the mountains since I went to San Diego in my early 20s.... since then...

Yeah, I might miss some scenery at night, but if its scenery Id wanna stick around for and see, Id know it by the night drive.

However, I think if I hit New Mexico and had the money and time. Id likely get a horse and simply ride the trails of the old west like that of Billy the Kid and others. Simply park my many horse powers and calmy accept one HP til I got back. (Yeah, I know city boy on a horse. Im not GOOD at it, however I have rode one before so I already know what to expect.)

Then Id spend about a week showering after all the dirt and all..... then get back in my car and drive to the next spot.

Oops, meant to reply to this earlier.

Ohhh ok. That's too bad the beaches are bad, but meh... my "beach meter" is filled for now while anyway, I spent some time on one earlier this week. ^_^ It's kind of nice to even just walk along side one as the sun is setting, and listening to the waves.
I love the mountains too. Probably ranks #1 in my top favorite scenery to visit. :sohappy: It's so cool how you could travel through one state and see one "type" of mountain, then when you hit the next state, they are kind of different. It's pretty fun driving through them too, even at night.

Riding the trails in New Mexico on a horse sounds really nice too. ^_^

Haha! I didn't used to, either. I hated even starting a row because of how much time it took to even get started. What gave me the patience to even finish small projects was when i was living in a women's shelter and I had nothing but time on my hands. There was also a big basket of yarn available, so i got to work and started knitting scarves. I made them all for my bf at the time.

Thank you Ray. Finally home, shooting is fun, but after filming 13 or 14 hours of the day... by the end you just want it done. Especially running on about 2 hours of sleep.

I think it was the lights all day. I'm not a fan of bright lights. Generally I would prefer light by torch or a ton of candles.
Also reading lines all day without my reading glasses probably played a part in my headache.

I'm soaking in a warm bath at the moment to try and get this fake blood staining off me. I died in a scene so I have the color still on me. No big deal it will go away but I'd like to speed it up.

Movie is done as far as filming goes. Now to soak, drink my Dr pepper then pass out.

I need prayer tonight. Last night marked my eight months of being single. And eight months of never going out on a date, even once. And I am falling into an even deeper state of loneliness. I want to be embraced, loved, and feel like I belong.

But often limes I feel like I am too big to love, to be romanced. I'm going away to England for a few months soon, and I am aspiring to become a youth pastor. I understand that I can't be a youth pastor alone, I'll need that male influence for the guys.

Online relationships are out of the question, I need that face to face interaction. Quality time is my love language, you can't have that over the screen.

Those are my thoughts.

I sympathize. It's easy to get discouraged. I don't think that 8 months (although it may seem it to you) is really all that long for being single. (If I think back, I'm pretty sure I've gone through several stints between dates that had to be that long or longer, lol). I'm sure you will meet a decent guy soon -maybe you already have? [aka, the chocolatier:) ] At least you have a better idea of what type of guy would be healthy for you to date. I would imagine when you do start to date, it will be a lot more enjoyable than your previous relationships. Oh, and a trip to England/Europe is one of the best remedies for forgetting about being single (It worked for me a few times, lol).

The coming week and my back. I am going to Colorado with my best friend to help out with a photo shoot. I'm excited about it but my back is acting up. I didn't even get to go to church this morning. :(

Listen to a sermon or talk to make up for it :)

He is indeed. I discovered him listening to MacArthur and Sproul. They hold a lot of the same views.

I think I first heard him in the conference MacArthur held on inerrancy. Fantastic event, all available on YouTube too. Can't go wrong!
