You must have gone to an interesting seminary...The joke at mine was that everyone ends up Presbyterian.
Gotcha, well...that must have been an interesting university then.I didn't go to a seminary, I went to a Christian university that had a seminary. The Bible department didn't sugar coat anything.

It's a broad statement, but I think it raises a fair question. In fact, it was joked around that an MDiv (Masters of Divinity) turns people into atheists. I was also apart of a conversation over lunch after church about how many of our Bible profs at college (who all have PhD's or are PhD candidates) actually believe in what they've studied. Even not at that level, on the very first day of Freshman Bible, my professor said "almost everything you learned in Sunday School is wrong." Even someone who minored in Bible, I can see how you need to have incredibly strong and deep faith to survive as a theologian. I also firmly believe that most pastors, especially if they've had a formal, academic seminary education, do not preach and teach what they believe to keep everyone happy.

there are a lot of stories of people hearing horrible things in Bible colleges
one priest was on the radio and he said he walked of a class where the Professor said "nothing in the Creed speaks to the modern man, we have to just forget it if we are going to seriously talk about theology"
I have heard of schools like that
that are more traditional and kinda "push" people to Higher Churches
like a Methodist seminary that ends up making Anglican priests
Well, figured today would be the day I started to catch up on Game of Thrones. Haven't watched the last three seasons. Started this evening.
I'm a bastard [adopted at birth] and I had the pleasure of running into my birth mother not to long ago. She off-handedly mentioned that many adoptees have dual birth certificates, one with the original name [i.e. Xx Xx Xx] and one with the new name [i.e. Yy Yy Yy]. Thus Yy Yy Yy is surprised to learn that technically his real name is Xx Xx Xx. After apologizing for the fact that I only had name Yy Yy Yy since they never thought to give me another name, I jokingly replied that she should have named me Jon Snow [first and middle].
Made her chuckle.
Wouldn't you choke if you were sick and laying on your back.So its gonna be THAT kind of day....
Thank God Im a side sleeper..... nothing like waking up to your body throwing up your dinner and spending time in the bathroom before youve even had time to wipe the eye boogers.
It can happen. Yes.Wouldn't you choke if you were sick and laying on your back.
This happened to a few people I know, one boy was in my high school he was 17.
Yeah I have a habit of making sure people are on their side after drinking. It can happen. Yes.
That is why if you go out drinking (or any other case that may lead to it) you should sleep on your side.
In my case however I am a side sleeper 99.9 % of the time, so it's just gross.

I.could never sleep on my back... am going to make a thread lol
Cranberry juice is good for not getting urine infections, I use to drink it by the bucket loads at one point.OMM: I love 100% cranberry juice without sugars and additives. This stuff should be in every medicine cabinet in America.

It happens. The seminary I went to is Southern Baptist and most of the graduates stay within the denomination but a good number end up going to the Presbyterian Church. A large number of the people who graduate from the seminary are reformed and as Southern Baptist churches, not all, tend to get worked up about the reformed issue it's hard for the graduates to find a place to call "home" in the denomination.
