This month is gonna be busy. Im fine with the work.... its the sleep gaps that Im not looking forward to, been awhile since the bull went without the sleep... getting older and all that. Lord sustain me and apologies Lord for snoring loudly in the "green pastures" when you make me to lie down in them......

Only people that would find it offensive are the true racists......that feel guilty for their prejudices so they overcompensate in their search for redemption over having such ridiculously small minded thinking.

If people seek to be offended they need just follow me around for a very short time.

As a Christian we are to be careful not to offend a brother or sister......

Those that seek peace, be at peace with them. Those that seek a fight, will seek it no matter what is said, so let it be truth that triggers. Truth is righteous, truth is justice and right in the eyes of God.....so.... let it anger whomever seeks anger if it is right in the eyes of God. If it is truth that triggers.... I'm not really offering a judgment on whether it's ridiculous or not because I don't know the basis for which people considered the statue racially insensitive. I recognize the association people were making but not necessarily why it stirred up that association in people's minds.
But I'm not quick to made judgments on things like this as I understand that I have a lot of blind spots when it comes to racial inequality because I haven't been subjected to it. It's a practice I would recommend for anyone who is white.

Even more ridiculous and hilarious I think is that they are holding a candlelight vigil for it. For a statue. God help us.

Either way it matters not... I couldn't care less about a statue...whether it stays or goes. To act as if a statue of an animal is racist... is ridiculous. To have vigils over the loss of said statue is just as ridiculous.

There are REAL issues this world has, to push for keeping or getting rid of a statue of an animal is ridiculous.

Those that vigil the statue are just as much in need of a priority check as those that seek offense where there is none.

As for what I said not making sense...

If one looks at a gorilla statue and thinks "racist" in their mind it is connected to a person of color in order for them to see racisim....one that is NOT racist simply sees a gorilla and nothing more.

The way one perceives the world tells you much about their heart and mind.

Just finished an episode of 'Young Sheldon'. I enjoyed it more than I thought I would.

When it was first announced, I was initially uneasy with it. Sheldon Cooper's eccentricities and mannerisms clearly put him on the autism spectrum. A TV show about him as a child made me think it would be a show where we all make fun of an autistic kid. After watching the first episode, however, I really came to enjoy it. I even saw a little bit of my childhood self in him with some of his mannerisms.

I'm definitely going to try to watch the rest of the show. It now strikes me more of a naive gifted kid going through a new phase in his life than an autism freak show. Even if he was an Aspie, I think this is going to be a far more lighthearted portrayal than I imagined it to be. I think the most important thing about comedy is that we shouldn't be offended by everything and just laugh at ourselves in a lighthearted way.

I'm very happy I gave this show the benefit of the doubt. I really need to stop feeling persecuted for my disability.
