This winter has been consistently the most cold we have had. With temperatures in the teens and wind chills in the single digits, I'll be glad when it warms back up to the 40s.

I'm afraid I did this. It's been really warm the past few winters. I said, probably to God, that we need a good, hard freeze this year. It helps keep the bugs at bay and the fresh water cleaner. Not long after, we've been in a several week pattern of single digits and evens lows that are below zero. I don't think it's been this cold in the 20 years since I moved north! haha

I kinda get excited over storms. I mean, up until I lose my power and no longer have wifi and hot water.

Yeah, this cold weather is nuts. I feel bad for my sister and brother-in-law because they were supposed to fly up to NYC for a few days getaway tomorrow morning and got the word today that flights to NYC tomorrow are cancelled.

Speaking of, I would rather think that you'd be a charming and entertaining road companion to have, Miss Squeakers. ... Kind of makes me wish you had been around when i took that long lonesome road up to Ontario a couple of months ago. The joyride alone admittedly hadn't been as interesting as i thought it might be.

But sure, I've no problem "coming up your way" one time. Just means I can say I have had the honor of meeting yet another lovely lady friend of SK's in person at last. (You just have to jog my memory one more time of where exactly it is in the U.S. that is your way, again. ^-^ )

Just found out my mom has to have knee replacement surgery. She has had terrible knees for years and what should have been crippling planar facitis and yet she's kept going because being active was the one thing she kept for herself. Now she doesn't even get that. I'm angry. I don't get why she has to hurt her whole life and why now she can't even have the joy of cleaning her house. She has never asked for much but somehow she's given even less.

I'm so sorry to hear this. She sounds like a pleasant woman and I'm saddened to hear about her failing knee. My mother is also having mobility problems and is going for knee surgery so I totally understand your anger. I pray that your mother gets the surgery and physical therapy she needs in order to move around again. I also said a prayer to God for Him to give you some comfort in this distressing time.

Just know God understands your pain and your mother's pain and will give us all glorified bodies in the next life. Ones that will not suffer these kinds of weaknesses that can happen to the best of us. It's OK to be angry, life is just a pile of bull crap some times.
