I am really tired of all the body shaming complaints. It's getting old, lol. At first I was in favor of women trying to promote healthier trends and views in the media, but now everyone whines about everything.

Yeah. I am not sure what their end game is.. Traditionally unattractive women want to be seen as just as beautiful, yet men still need to look like models. What are they going to do when the same models shrug them off and they have to settle for a less desirable guy? A lot about esteem looks have to do with being attractive to the opposite sex. I don't care how much they deny this.

Well, you are probably more familiar with these articles than I am. I think that women over the years have been critiqued more severely than men have been when it comes to looks. I think that the initial campaigns to promote better body image and self esteem for women were a positive thing. It's just gone way too far now. I do agree with you though that it is distasteful and hypocritical for women turn around and do the same thing to guys. My opinion is that people in general are too soft and looking for validation from others for every little aspect of their life.

Smaller framed guys are usually treated like dirt. Bigger guys probably have an easier time than bigger girls, you just have to factor in the fact that both sexes have different requirements. If a guy is small believe me he'll receive severe criticism.

It's just a fact of life, and I'm not sure how cheap body image campaigns will change that. Especially if most of it is singled on one gender. Why should we men even care about the issue?

That is probably very true unfortunately. I have found that most people are severe in their critique of others and not so much on themselves, lol. There have been times when I've been talking to people (both genders) that had ridiculously high criteria for the opposite gender, that I just wanted to say to them "uhmm, have you looked in the mirror lately?" The beauty of life is that these people tend to get a rude awakening and learn their lesson.

That being said, there are a lot of girls that are not hung up on a guy's height and frame and would be more than happy to date a guy who wasn't the hulk.

Fine. As long as you aren't one of those annoying people who start their Christmas shopping before Labor Day.

Why is that a bad thing? :p

If I see something that would be an awesome Christmas gift on sale or something, Ill buy it no matter what time of year. :p

If I ever have a house and hang lights...... I will never take them down.:p

I will of course find a way for them to be functional and serve a purpose year round..... but I wont hang them, take them down, hang them take them down.

Nope, Ill hang them and work the wiring so that they can work as a security system and light around the entire house. OR I would work in a cover for them so that during Christmas I simply pull of the cover.... but the hanging process itself..... one time.

The struggle is real...seriously.

I also need coffee....

it is true that women are judged more harshly on looks
but men are judged more harshly on economic viability

this just goes back to thousands of years of evolution
health and youth are valued traits for women because those are key to fertility, that is why women are judged more by looks
status and wealth are valued traits for men because those are key to being good providers, security

there is an anti-feminist woman on Youtube, her name is Karen Straughan
she is an egalitarian and an atheist, I do not agree with EVERYTHING she has to say, but I think she makes some interesting points, look her up some time you are bored

Nah I think bigger guys have a difficult time. I'm not the hulk by any means, but for the most part, girls aren't attracted to me. And everything is built for average-type guys. Seats, doors, etc. Riding a bus or plane is extremely uncomfortable because the seat in front of me is pressed against my knees lol. People look at me everywhere I go. It's tough, but it is what it is lol

Honestly, no matter who you are, there are people who don't like you. And people will judge you. We just gotta try harder to feel more comfortable in our own skin. If someone doesn't like me because I'm bigger and doesn't want to get to know me for themselves, they're probably someone I wouldn't want to be with anyway.

More or less the purpose of smaller seating is so that more people can be crammed in and hauled around. But it does indeed pose a problem with heavier and exceptionally tall people.

Have you seen the new seating designs? If this happens, I will NEVER fly on a plane. Anything worse than sitting crammed next to a stranger is facing them this closely or potentially being watched for several hours straight.

This idea is from the devil. I heard about it a few weeks ago. It is very creepy, who wants to stare at a complete stranger for hours? Pray tell how would anyone ever get out to use the bathroom? If you were on the aisle, fine but what about the poor person with the window seat? Where would you rest your arms? Riding the tube is bad enough but this is absurd.

Although some marriages might come into fruition because of such insipid measures, lol..

like, that would only work if EVERY airline did that at the same time

I mean, even if it cost less, why would you fly in a plane like that when you can buy a ticket and fly like normal?

I mean, I would take a greyhound bus before I got on a plane like that
(when I was 18 or 19 I took a greyhound from Columbus Ohio to New York City, it was not as bad as some people make it out to be)
