Sadly my parents didn't raise me bilingual. The parent whose French spoke France-french not Canadian French and they didn't want to raise me bilingual because apparently there's quite a difference between the dialects (so they say anyway). To me it's a poor excuse because it really would have benefitted me I believe. Now I have to learn french on my own.
When I went on the trip I was actually one of the only English class students to go, 95% of the students who went were french-immersion but they had extra seats to fill so I was fortunate enough to be one of them.
We stayed in a nice hotel, had a tour guide the whole time, went to french shops and cafes and a restraunt. We went on a cruise at night on the water, that was really nice.
We went into a big cathedral, googled the one you said but I can't tell if that's the one. I remember when we were touring Mass was going on and so we were to stay to the side and be quiet. There were signs saying no recording or pictures but me being me as a teen I failed to obey the rule and took a video lol (to which the end of the video is me zooming in on my teacher stopped and glaring at me while pointing at one of the signs that said no recording. I was a bit of a smartass.
