  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

In my youth when I sang all the time, I would sing a song to perfection. That usually took about 3 hours! But when I'm writing that's when I'll loop a song for as long as I need.

I have songs where I just like a certain part of it, like the chorus or a solo. I set them up on my iTunes to start and finish at certain parts of the song and play in a loop.

An example is this song I recently bought. It is looped from 1:32 to 1:46 and I can listen to it for hours.


This loop makes me think of scenes like this one...

Some thoughts on the ages of cartoon characters...

The Simpsons started in 1989, Bart Simpson is 10 years old and thus was born in 1979. He would be 38 by now. He's at the age where he could go to prison for his antics.

Calvin and Hobbes started in 1985. Calvin is 6 years old and thus was born in 1979 too. He would also be 38 by now. Hopefully he saved Hobbes for his child after all these years.

Garfield started in 1978. Garfield was an adult cat which would be a minimum of 9 months so he could be born in 1977. He would be at least 40 years old now. Time to put him to sleep.

Peanuts started in 1950. Charlie Brown was originally 4 years old at that time and thus was born in 1946. He would be 71 now. Hopefully retirement brings him a little bit of happiness.

South Park started in 1997. Stan Marsh, Kyle Brofloski, Kenny McCormick, and Eric Cartman were originally 9 years old and thus born in 1988. They would all be 29 now. Hopefully they're not as useless as the adults during their childhoods...

Rugrats started in 1991. Tommy Pickles was a year old and thus born in 1990. He would be 27 now. He probably has to deal with a baby of his own.

Okay, now Im a carnivore but even I threw up in my mouth a bit there.


Sorry to say, but this is one way to make me a veggiesaur..... meat bars.......I'll stick with my peanutbutter cookies Larabar thank you...... if I want a "meat bar" I will eat jerky. Not meat pretending to be a candy bar.

There are some uptight high opinionated young women around.

I was sitting in my car by the road with my father and this young lady was walking down the road. She was dressed in very short shorts and a light revealing top. I glanced out to see who it was.

The next second, she begins pulling the fingers to us while walking down the road. Her head begins going side to side on her shoulders and she's cursing us. Seriously?

She must have thought I was checking her out. No thanks, I like my women dressed modest and respectful and she was doing all this while not even looking at us. It was like she had a high opinion of herself that she expected us to be checking her out.

But if you're prepared to dress revealing like that, you are going to attract attention from some men anyway, so she should realise this without walking around half naked and then getting all snotty that some men look at her.

God give me a hijabi wife, so she can get out and slap the likes of this girl!
