My family attends a church that is big enough to fit all those who celebrate this time of year with the Natvity scene, singing actual Christmas songs and hearing the Word of God. :happyblush:

It's a shame that more people don't decorate with nativity scenes. I can't actually remember the last time I saw one.

Mind you, who would notice? Most people are far too entranced with the epileptic seizures they're having from looking up at the flashing Santa on their roof - who, for some reason, is running frenetically up and down a ladder.

A very STRANGE reaction from a man who's trying to get around the world in one night. Why would he be wasting time doing something so fruitless?

I don't understand Christmas at all.

Yep I have to agree with that!
Heck, it's even a candlelight service because the light the candle gives is symbolic as the light of Jesus. I wish more churches would hold gatherings like this every Christmas.

I hate the flashing santa stuff, honestly. It means nothing to me at all.

There is a huge nativity scene in Glasgow every year!

One year someone stole Jesus [emoji23][emoji15][emoji15] they did get him back! Now they are in a box

I love the nativity scene but technically it didn't happen like that!

Nativity scenes must vary place by place. There are a fair few on my admittedly very long road, most of the flashing lights are restricted to outdoor Christmas trees and door frames.

Had to remind people at work that the Data Protection Act is a thing, our data protection policies are a thing. You don't share contact information of vulnerable older adults even if the Archbishop of Canterbury himself requests it. Gah.

The best part of winter is the excuse to wear baggy clothing/extra layers. And just in time because, for some reason, every piece of clothing I own is shrinking.. :sorry:

In other news, I find it odd that the church I attend doesn't 'decorate' for Christmas. In fact, they seem to be ignoring the subject entirely.

How does the church you attend 'celebrate' the holidays?
That's strange. Perhaps they have an anti-Christmas belief in the church that got ingrained. Some Christians believe Christmas to be Pagan in origin and thus not to be celebrated. Or maybe they just haven't started yet.

The church I've been going to is very much about Christmas haha. They started preparing for the pageant ages ago, there's tons of decorations all throughout, and I expect all the sermons through December to have a Christmas theme. I like it like that, because I believe Christmas is of God.

Eating this salmon makes a taste in my mouth like a leather store smells........ if that makes any sense.

See.... this is why Im not a fan of fish...... its..... weird. Fish..... the other strange meat. :|
I like some fish, but salmon's nasty man I gotta agree there.

Try battered haddock. Preferably restaurant quality. Here if you ask for fish and chips it's commonly haddock.

Salmon is good! Was it fresh or frozen?

I'm in one of my famous indecisive moods. Had a hard time deciding what to cook for supper and finally settled on pasta Alfredo.

Only after I started cooking I thought about doing smothered pork chops instead. That will have to wait for next time.

I thought so. Frozen salmon is usually pretty bad.

If you can get it fresh at a good grocery store or seafood market it is worlds better in flavor, color, texture, etc.

Oh right, forgot you're trying to shed ze lbs.

As far as cheap lean protein goes fish wise I just always stuck with canned tuna. Used to hate it, then I ate it so much and because I had so much testosterone pumping through me back then due to weight training/running I used to crave it/love it.
Very cheap too.

Body's an amazing thing adaptation wise.

would it have been in poor taste to ask a girl out through the drive through window , with my mom in the passenger side?
Hmmm... in most cases yes probably, but if it felt right it probably was right, so go with your gut.

Well, technically, my church has done nothing for Christmas yet because we're Episcopalian so we follow the traditional church calendar where it's technically Advent.

Tell your mom afterwards that you forgot to get a drink, park out front and go back in by yourself. Get the drink and ask the girl out ^^
