Remembering what good health feels like (a UTI I've been dealing with recently appears to be passing) sure is a beautiful thing.

UTI are the worse!

Praying for you

Finally feel like I'm on the mend. the doctor said with this kinda thing, it can take two weeks to get better, so I guess I made pretty good time with five days.

I'm nervous that coffee shop girl will have written me off by the time I get to see her again.

I saw a really cute guy come in at work the other day and I noticed he kept looking at me. I wonder if he was single and if I'll run into him again. Only time will tell I suppose.

I fall into this trap too much, of seeing someone of interest, and thinking 'next time I will say something' only to never see them again.

You should chat with him if you catch him next time :)

On a side note, I think I spend too much time trying to search for potential others on the internet. I need to begin getting out more and seeing what's around locally.

Well, it doesn't exclude the possibility of christianity being true, and being a negative force in the world. God could want to destroy the world and most people on it. I do not believe that, but some do.

"Possible from some ridiculously complicated point of view" doesn't equal "likely" or "the most likely".

If there is a list of 300 most likely divine truths in order from most likely to least likely, a world view or a religion being removed out of the top spots on the list is really all it takes to make it a perfectly justifiable call to consider other options. Why bother with something that needs very complex intellectual acrobatics, when there are other choices available?

Probability is only good enough to point one toward a relative certainty. You can come to know that theory A is the most likely to be true, and asserting that to be the case could be a true statement, but there are outliers to consider. Unfortunately it's not the same kind of "knowing" which would satisfy me in the pursuit of some truths, nor the kind of "knowing" which is advocated by christian scripture.

Oh, I know I won't see him again. He was just a cute guy that came in.

We must have very different standards for what satisfies us. I don't believe it's even possible to know spiritual truths for sure. There is always lots of room for interpretation and relativity.

I happen to personally be okay with religious uncertainty and vagueness. What is important to me is spiritual experiences and I can have those without very much knowledge. The theory part is there to just give words to explain the experience. I find religion(s) to be useful in that process of seeking experiences and explaining them, but outside that purpose, I am not very concerned about the theoretical side of it.

It's interesting, I think, that the "knowledge" referred to in the NT itself is experiential knowledge. I personally don't put a lot of stock in ideas. What is "knowledge" anyways? Mere concepts pale in comparison to direct experience with the truth one seeks.

Morrowind was better :p
Perhaps it is, but the immersion factor for me depends a lot on its visuals, and going from Skyrim (the first TES game I played) to Oblivion or Morrowind is difficult. However, I understand your point: I will always prefer Fallout 3 and New Vegas to Fallout 4 in spite of F4's excellent visuals.

Stormcloak or Imperial?
I support the Empire for three reasons:

1. Ulfric Stormcloak's rebellion isn't helping reunify Skyrim as the Aldmeri Dominion are still in control. Ulfric should be strengthening the Empire to ultimately deal the Dominion a decisive blow.

2. The Dragonborn is just that, and because of his blessing from Akatosh, he is emperor material. Bethesda really missed the boat on a fantastic DLC in which the emperor is assassinated by the Dark Brotherhood (hired by Miraak) who then makes a bid for the throne. If Miraak was allied with Hermaeus Mora in this scenario, it could be Oblivion Crisis 2.0. You become emperor after finishing off Miraak. As far as Solstheim and the dragon cult, yeah, they're fine, but it's too far removed from the overall tone of Skyrim. The Civil War questline quits way too abruptly.

3. Ulfric Stormcloak is a racist and a coward. When you're at the very beginning and you've made it into the tower, Ulfric is in there hanging out, bonds cut, gag removed, but he can't be bothered to go out and challenge Alduin.
