Lots and Lots. Thankfully, I will have some Elliot Smith being played and a drink to relax, but there are lots on my mind to say the least today.

Sometimes, when i'm doing some early morning/late night typing, I imagine all the hard work people go into getting their research published and then the millions of students who simply read the abstract and conclusion, sometimes if lifting graphs/images/quotes to pad out their essays.

Then I think abut the impending survey reports needing to be drawn up and realise i've spent so much time analysing the data for the last piece of fieldwork i've completely forgotten to get the permissions to do the next lot.

Not that my church isn't wonderful..it was the perfect church for what God told me to search out two years ago..but now what He's telling me to search for is different...

(I've only gotten three hours of sleep tonight, so these may be thoughts that I'll regret sharing, but what the heck.)

I get the feeling (from things said directly and indirectly and things not said at all, but I have my suspicions about) that some people (online and offline) judge me for how my life is at this moment. Of course, those who judge me don't have a clue. Very few people know what the last 12 months of my life have been like and only 3 people that I know offline know all of the details. I thought that the year I was 32 years old would be one of my best, but it turned out to be one of my worst.

Those who judge me as not being good enough for friendship or romance don't deserve me when they feel I am good enough. I am worthy of respect and love as I am, even if my life is less than stellar. I feel that I am doing the best I can given the circumstances. I am not perfect, but I also have never pretended to be anything but the flawed creature that I am.

Though it's times like these that reveal the true people. I am grateful for all of the love and support that has been shown to me from wonderful people that I know online and offline.

I wondered if I'd regret that last posting in this thread, but I don't at all. Maybe it makes me look like an emotional vampire, but I don't care. I've been here for 4 1/2 years, so maybe it's about time people saw a fuller side of me and I'm no intellectual robot. Not that I'm emo all of the time, either. Balance is good. And it felt really good to get that off of my chest (or keyboard?).
