I wouldn't know, I think there's four paid holidays each year, but taking all four is severely frowned upon. Christmas and New Year's are ok to take off, but you're supposed to work 4-6 hours on all other holidays just to demonstrate that you're not really slacking.

There's six U.S. national holidays I can think of off hand... Labor Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, New Year's Day, Christmas Day, and Thanksgiving. I'm not sure if Christmas Eve counts, that would make seven.

In Aus the Fri Sat, Sun and Mon are all public holidays (some states are a little different)

Good Friday is probably the biggest day of the year, when even big department stores close.

Doesn't mean I get paid for six national holidays. I get paid for two and get half days on the other two. It's a real pain having to explain to people why I have to work on Memorial Day and Labor Day every single year.

I woke up this morning with a realization, probably from God. I just posted a few days ago that I felt my life was on the upswing and things were getting better. I think now that I made that declaration, the devil is doing his best to swing hard at me and I need to keep my head up and trust God that He will make all things good. So I'm going to try harder not to let anything discourage me.
