  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I am sorry your family does not really believe you.
though, I do know a fair number of atheists who just seem to be theists who are angry at God, but I never assumed this about you.

Thanks for your kind words. :)

I'm actually a little surprised I had such sour feelings over this. Although I have always been sensitive about people misrepresenting/misunderstanding me. Being a very shy kid growing up, this happened to me often.

Hmm maybe a few are just angry with God, personally I think most atheists are legit, although maybe I'm hanging out in the wrong crowds.

I'm reading this hilarious thread on the website chattychristians about CF singles.

Some people take things wayyy to seriously (actually I'm guilty of that as well lol).. If you can't fight the liberal horde, back off.

Bike riding is awesome! ^_^ Just a few weeks and I'm almost back in shape from that super long endless winter

I've been thinking about getting a bike lately. I like jogging but I imagine it takes its toll on your knees after a while. With so many lakes and rivers nearby though, I think I might go for a kayak this summer instead. I saw one on sale today for 170 bucks. I'm not sure what I'd do with it at the end of the summer though.

Oh man, I was JUST talking about buying a kayak!! I'd love to do that. Only problem is I don't know how to transport it, I'd have to get a rack for my car I think. $170 isn't bad at all.

I know what you mean about jogging, I wish I could jog more but it's hard on my hips actually. Biking is just right I think. The tough part is if it's a windy day and you're riding against the wind, but it's an extra work out I guess. :D

I've been thinking about "borrowing" a bike lately, but it occurs to me that I've been borrowing my friends' toys a lot lately.

That's what I used to do, but honestly I've only gone biking a few times since I turned 20, so I never thought it would be worth it to buy one. I think I might get more use out of one now though.

Yeah I thought $170 was a pretty good price. I've never priced them out before and I didn't think you could get them for that cheap. The one I saw was in a Menards ad. There's some remote lakes and rivers up here and some great places to go kayaking. I'm really thinking about going for it. :D

Yeah running into the wind is the same way for me haha.

I'd have to drive a little ways but there are some places I could go too. I've been really tempted to buy one. If you do it, you should let me know how it goes. It just seems like it would be really peaceful. I love spending time outside, it would give me another reason to get out too.
