I came across this article earlier today, it's a little shocking to me at least.
It says whats it right (dealing with sexual immorality) and what isn't. I didn't think most of this was OK, but this article says they are.
Anyways, I'd like comments about this.

Carefully young ones, this talks about sex.

After you've read it, has your opinions and stand on some of these issues changed? I'm debating if mine should, and looking for advice.

I've read from the forums and been raised that masturbation is not approved by God (the bible). This article says it is, and has some support. I'm not sure if I should change my stance on it or not.

Most of the other topics are kind of bogus, but others might wonder. I wonder more about the three I listed, since most people say NO, and this article says yes (well, that they are OK).

Opinions....comments.....

(I posted twice on purpose, I wanted people to read it first and think about it a little.)

Mapik,
I've not read the article, but would simply like to comment that the Bible says "anything done without faith is sin." Rom. 14: 23.
If you cannot do it with the faith that it is right????

I have read the article, and it opened my eyes! I am not married but my viewpoint would be that God designed us, if something feels unnatural, it is probable that it is not within God's will for us; prayer should provide some clarity. With regard to masturbation, I have prayed repeatedly about this issue, and feel drawn to the belief that it is wrong.

I quckly browsed it, and I noticed the word spouse(s) alot. I think it refering more to married people.
Yes it is reffering to married people, but I was esp wondering about the masturbation. Why? Cause everyone here seems to agree that it's against God.

I agree with macca but i would like to add something more. in masturbation what are your thoughts on? What are you basically forced to think of due to the nature of what you are doing? Jesus says that thinking of sinning is just as bad as commiting that sin therefore the thoughts that are produced by masturbation are those of sex and adultery which according to the bible are sins. [let me just clarify this: Sex outside of marriage is sin and the desire of another person is adultery(other than a spouse)] This raises the question then of is it alright to mastubate on your spouse? i beleive that the thoughts that are created by masturbating are sinful which therefore leads us into sin which therefore makes it wrong. i'm not quite sure if it is wrong if you can do it without thinking of anything sexual but from experience and friends i know it is a near impossibility to not think of these things while doing it. my beleif is that it is wrong but you need to ask yourself is my relationship with the Lord Most High going to be strengthened or weakened by this. Read your bible and apply Jesus' teaching to it.

Jesus said "If it is not for me it is against me"

May God bless you and reveal to you the answer to your question.

Keep your eyes on Him who alone can save us and he will guide your paths

I don't agree with everything this website says, for example I think masturbation for singles is not right becauseof the thoughts that go with it, however I think they do well with their general advice and they ccertainly provoke thought which couples can go away, research and pray on for their own answers. What might be sin for one couple may not be for another. If a man has a foot fetish and it controls him that could be a sin to indulge it.. where as another couple may like using feet during love making because it adds some fun and there is no fetish involved at all.

Within the marriage bed we have to pray and use our God given conscience to decide what is and isn't acceptable. We should also consider what the body parts were intended for... and what the feeling or reason behind wanting to do something actually is.

Ahhh the great masturbation debate. Masturbation is a sin. Pleasing only ourselves is a sin. I have a hard time believing that pleasing another with out hands is sinful. consider that a large number of women are unable to obtain [bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse] without clitoral stimulation. Would it be wrong for a husband to please his wife in this way?

True Macca, and I agrue.
2COR 10:5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

bringing thoughts into capivity might also mean thoughts of sexual release. I know if I think about the need to touch my mind wanders off to thinking about a woman or imagages I have seen in magazines etc. I know these thoughts are not pure and certainly try to think of what Jehovah expects of me.

PHIL 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

so in relation to this Scripture is masturbation right?

Well I wouldn't know since I'm not married, but didn't God design sex itself to be satisfying for both the husband and wife...?

Mapik, if you're still uncertain on the issue of masturbation, then you might want to take a look around here. There are already a number of topics on the matter.

The marriage bed is undefiled (Hebrews 13:4).
A person should know what pleases God in their life. Sometimes it is a matter of knowing moderation and self-control which is a fruit of the Holy Spirit (Gal. 5:22,23). We are allowed grace from God to grow in, and He understands all about hormones and the physical body, having been a man and tempted in all things Himself. He sympathizes with our frame and condition (Hebrews 4:15).
I think we should focus on what is productive in God's will for our lives and grow in His grace towards that goal of having given our complete selves to Him as living sacrifices, and not giving place to the flesh. If we fail from time to time and cannot control ourselves, then we are not condemned, but have the blood of the lamb to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Ro 12:1 And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will accept. When you think of what he has done for you, is this too much to ask?

Ro 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

Ro 8:8 That’s why those who are still under the control of their sinful nature can never please God.
Ro 8:9 But you are not controlled by your sinful nature. You are controlled by the Spirit if you have the Spirit of God living in you. (And remember that those who do not have the Spirit of Christ living in them are not Christians at all.)

Ro 13:14 But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts.

Ga 5:17 For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish.

Ga 5:24 And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.

The Bible warns us that in the last days, false prophets will come and teach gratification of the flesh to those that want their ears tickled (hearing what they want to hear).

2Peter 2:18 (NKJV) For when they speak great swelling words of emptiness, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through lewdness, the ones who have actually escaped from those who live in error.
19 While they promise them liberty, they themselves are slaves of corruption; for by whom a person is overcome, by him also he is brought into bondage.

2Ti 4:3 (NLT) For a time is coming when people will no longer listen to right teaching. They will follow their own desires and will look for teachers who will tell them whatever they want to hear.
