Hi Ive been recently added to the CF Newpaper staff as the Congregational News Columnist. As Salvation Army are there any sort of wider News within the denomination that you think would be good to Adress within the CF Newspaper. Indonesian Earthquake – Salvation Army Expands Services


Indonesia: June 5, 2006.

Salvation Army medical teams are continuing to work in the aftermath of the Java earthquake. The teams – known as Compassion in Action units – have now moved on to the villages of Plesedan and Mandungan, near Sleman, and the villages of Krasaan and Sumberharjo, near Bantul.

The Salvation Army provides 5,767 meals to flood victims in Massachusetts Communities


The Salvation Army in the Merrimack Valley has responded to meet the needs of our communities during the major flooding that the Merrimack Valley and surrounding communities experienced. From Monday, May 15th through Sunday, May 21, 2006, The Salvation Army has provided 5,767 meals to residents impacted by the disaster, and continues to minister to our neighbors during this difficult time. At locations in Peabody, Saugus, Lawrence and Lowell, The Salvation Army is operating emergency feeding to displaced persons at fixed and mobile locations.
