I meant ... in the outer or the inner world ...

Well I would be content with any of the following:

-Hearing his voice and being blinded
-Having one of his angels visit me in my sleep or in a vision
-Having a donkey talk to me
-Performing a miracle in front of me

These are all things hes done before and is still capable of doing.

He doesn't have to do anything. He's God. He can do whatever the hell he wants.
That is what I believe too! So why do you think He would not possibly want you to experience faithlessness some more right now? Has someone told you that He doesn't find that useful in any way?

God does speak audibly and through flashy spectacles. Remember Paul on the Road to Damascus? That story sounded pretty audible and flashy to me. I think it's funny how Paul expects others to believe in God's existence when Paul himself didn't believe until God spoke audibly and blinded him with his flashy spectacles. Paul is a hypocrite?

I don't care. I don't want to have a relationship with someone who won't talk to me.

Saul was a stubborn headed man hell-bent on destroying the church. God decided to knock him on his *bless and do not curse* and make him the Apostle Paul. He did not decide to do this with everybody. Just like not everybody was made a prophet. Like I said, it's on His terms, not yours.

You reveal your rebellious heart in your last sentence. Hope you wise up before it's too late.

I suspect that he stopped direct contact after Malachi's and Buddha's time.

Yup. You don't get to dictate how God works. He's God, you are man. You know the terms and openly reject them. You literally just said you don't want to associate yourself with Him because he won't do what you want Him to do. That's the very definition of rebellion. Anywhere you see someone rebelling against God in Scripture they are doing things their way instead of His. It's not really funny at all.

Do you realize Jesus spoke of people with this attitude, who wanted to see signs and miracles, and never followed Him? You should look into it. He didn't have very kind words for them.

I don't see what this has to do with anything.
I have suggested that it is a potential reason for why you are not hearing from Him, because you seem to have not considered it in post #10.

These are the possible explanations as I see it now:

1. He doesn't exist, so He can't speak to you.
2. You don't want to hear what He is telling you, so He is going to wait until you change your mind.
3. He doesn't want to speak to you, for any reason He might have.

What do you think, are these sufficiently segregated to cover all possibilities, and is there another possible explanation for it?

Nah. I said I won't associate with him because he won't associate himself with me.

Why don't you use Paul as an example again. You really did a killer job on that one. NOT!

He absolutely will associate himself with you. On His terms. On His definition of what it means to associate with God. Not your definition. You stated you reject His terms. And you have the opportunity to lose the stubborn pride and recognize your need for Jesus, and ask him for guidance.

You never addressed my example as Paul so I'm still waiting.

Well I guess since I can't demand him to reveal himself to me, the only thing I can really do is wait.

Yes I did. You were trying to prove that God does not reveal himself through flashy spectacles and being audible and then you used Paul as an example. I laughed pretty hard on that one.

It doesn't even say you are a Christian so what is stopping you from believing exactly?

Why won't you accept what man has wrote without question? I mean come on, I know there are plenty of other man-made religions out there that have even more followers then Christianity but Christianity is different. It's obviously obvious that it's true. You just have to have some faith dude cmon!!!

You are waiting in vain. God is waiting for you to humble yourself and seek Him earnestly. Knowing the right way to seek God and refusing to do it will not help you at all. Just like when Cain and Abel presented their sacrifices before God. Cain knew what God expected and refused to present the proper sacrifice.

No you didn't address the statement I made after that. God may have revealed himself to a select few in more direct ways, but he has given his instruction on how the rest of us are to seek Him. You are not a prophet, nor one of the twelve Apostles, nor Moses or Enoch, etc. God is not going to flashily reveal himself to you. All of Paul's disciples never saw what Paul did. They still faithed in Jesus based on Paul's testimony and the other testimonies in God's Word.

Jesus allowed Thomas to have visual and tactile proof of His resurrection. But he stated that even more blessed are those who faithe in Jesus and have not received that visual confirmation. The vast majority of man is required to faithe in God by His Word. Like it or lump it, that's how it works.

I am questioning as you are, my friend. :)

The Buddha's answer to the Kalama family (AN 3.65), on this very issue, speaks to me.

I'm not waiting in vain. I've already said I'm not going to put all my trust in some strangers that I didn't even know 2000 years ago who wrote a book claiming that God is real.

I need to know this for myself. From God himself.

"Oh but God doesn't work like that. Stop being rebellious!"

Oh please.

I need to know this for myself. From God himself...

"Come, Kalamas. Do not go upon what has been acquired by repeated hearing; nor upon tradition; nor upon rumor; nor upon what is in a scripture; nor upon surmise; nor upon an axiom; nor upon specious reasoning; nor upon a bias toward a notion that has been pondered over; nor upon another's seeming ability; nor upon the consideration, 'The monk is our teacher.' Kalamas, when you yourselves know: 'These things are good; these things are not blamable; these things are praised by the wise; undertaken and observed, these things lead to benefit and happiness,' enter on and abide in them."

Well stop questioning God. He doesn't work like you want him to.

Good luck standing before God on judgment day and saying "Oh please" to Him when he asks why you never sought him out through His Word. You still have time to wise up.
