  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

What's everyone reading?

Surely you're not spending all your time on the 'net.

I just got Velvet Elvis by some dude named Rob Bell, recommended by Uncle Bud (where ya hidin'?), started that one today.

My recreational reading is volume 4 of the Belgariad series by David Eddings (I started reading Lord of the Rings but quit halfway through the first book 'cause I like Eddings better; started with volume 1 and I'll end with the Mallorean series) & The Hess Cross by JS Thayer (fictional reading before bed and when I can't concentrate on nonfiction ;) )

OK, definitely not weighty theological tomes here :D

So what ya got goin'?

Oh come on, Nadiine! When it comes to bondage you just can't beat that 16th-century style. Talk about gettin' medieval! ^_^

I can't wait to read the Babylonian Captivity. Now that sounds like fun! ^_^ You should ask WildStrawberry to tell you what happened to her at the library when she went to get The Bondage of the Will. LOL

well, it's good that you've ventured out & moved on from your usual
National Geographic reading.
^_^

Are you now including National Geographic among the many softcore porn magazines you're convinced I read? :D

Yes you! Don't act all innocent with me. I am well aware of your fantasies/delusions when it comes to my preferred reading material. ^_^ You forget my dear, because there are no icons anymore, that I'm a Lutheran. Porn for us is the latest issue of the Jell-O cookbook. :p
