  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

What's enough evidence?

thats not proof, so i guess you cant show something outside of a laboratory
Stop moving the goalposts stone. You suggested that monkey’s should give birth to humans if evolution is true. You were flat out wrong. Before we can move on to your misunderstandings about laboratory speciation, do you understand that the ToE does NOT say monkeys should give birth to anything but monkeys?

Nobody told me that monkeys give birth to humans. Your scientist have humans on a tree with monkeys so i guess something has to change sometime right? I'm just trying to figure out how someone who believes in this evolution thing can justify their beliefs in this thing you call evolution and since i have not personally seen an existing species evolve into a new species, then i would say it's safe to say that life simply just becomes extinct until a new life is created.

The way i see it is that these monkeys, cavemen, etc... were simply created, not evolved. Evolution is a myth.

you made the 1st move by avoiding the yes no answers,

so humans evolve from humans?

You are suffering from two problems you must get over before you can draw any conclusions about evolution. Firstly, you have shown us that your knowledge about the theory are making assertions about is nearly non existent. The second problem is that your current belief blinds you from seeing the evidence that supports evolution. If you were to seriously examine all the evidence that supports evolution you could form a better conclusion. As of now you have not and can not.

You are misunderstanding what the tree diagram represents. It represents common ancestry not the fact that any ancestor ever gave birth to a new species.

Although you, an I for that matter, have not seen seciation happen with our own eyes, the evidence is out there to be reviewed. I’m not saying it’s simple or easy to review all the evidence and put it all together in your mind, but just because you don’t understand evolution does not mean you are correct in asserting that it’s false.

Then you currently see it wrong. The evidence shows that you are wrong. If you seriously take the time to learn about what you are talking about you will see how wrong you are.

A simple yes or no answer would have allowed you to continue to believe your invalid assertion that monkeys should give birth to humans if evolution is true.

Right now the human population is evolving together.

I'm not asking for you to analyze me and any illnesses that i may be suffering from.

You guys asked for something that would convince me that evolution of species evolveing into a new species so i am telling you what it is that would convince me now, Can you show me or tell me where i can go to see a newly evolved species within say... the last 100 years? or maybe the last 1000, or hey maybe the last 10,000 years?

Are you saying that seeing a monkey give birth to a human would make you believe in evolution?

and going by these standards it's safe to say that a new born from an asian and an african is a product of evolution.
Incorrect. Interacial offspring are able to find mates and have children just as easily as their parents.

ok, but this only proves against evolution as well.

salamanders...? come on, have there been any human changes that you know of?

ah forget it, there is no convinceing me, there is no proof.

This toe sounds like an item of worship that one draws their beliefs from

Speciation probably takes longer. The most recent good example I can think of is a show I recently watched about Kodiak Bears. It’s a good example of speciation from isolation. I understand that no single evidence alone is compelling enough to convince you of the validity of the ToE (Theory of Evolution) but it you considered all of the evidence as a whole you will see that the ToE has been supported beyond a reasonable doubt. If you want to start with the most compelling evidence look to genetics.
