Personally I love Mary, God chose her to deliver his only begotten Son God with us.
I do have a question:
I cannot find in my Bible where she was translated to Heaven, joined with God the Father and Christ the Son.
Nor can I find where she was crowned Queen of Heaven.
I do know our Bibles are different, can any one give me a passage from the Catholic version that I may reconcile this?
good word usage "translated to Heaven"
most Catholics would not be familiar with that term, we normally use the term "assumed into heaven"
though "translated" would be the term used by scholars of comparative religions I believe?
anyways, it is not directly stated in the Bible
I would say that the book of Revelations points to Mary being taken up into Heaven
there is "the Woman" of Revelation 12, some people think that Woman is a reference to nation of Israel, but that does not really fit the rest of the narrative of that chapter.
for example, the Woman gives birth to a Child and there is the Red Dragon and Michael
ok well the Child is Jesus, the Red Dragon is the Devil, and Michael is Michael..... so each of the other figures represent individuals, not entire nations, not vague concepts, but individuals
so it makes sense that the Woman who is crowned and put above the moon is Mary
so this is not directly stated in the Bible
but it has been a teaching of the Church from early times
also, being taken up into heaven is VERY uncommon, but it is not unprecedented
we have Enoch and Elijah as examples of God doing that for His servants
