To OP:
I mean whether something is beautiful or ugly is subjective.
A man might think his 175 pound wife with stretch marks who is 40 looks ugly, but a man who is 65 and has a 225 pound wife with varicous veins and thinning hair might think that the 175 pound woman is hot stuff.
Also, when I was a young teen I tended to find older teen guys attractive, but that does not mean that now that I am 28 I wish my hubby were 17. Stuff changes, you change, your spouse changes...
Anyway, I think beauty is very much based on what the person who is looking at the other likes or feels, and that can change.
I seriously don't care about having my hubby go work out at the gym. I would rather have him do something with me, and bet a gut, then for him to spend a bunch of time working out to maintain some certain body shape.
I can think some hunk looks attractive, but overall I am more attracted to personalities and minds, and my hubby keeps getting a neater and neater mind. It was really cool to begin with, but it is the coolest mind on earth right now, so I'm good.

Its not an inside or outside beauty type of thing for me. The whole package of the person is what I look at. Part of that is looks and looks are a reflection of whats on the inside that counts. Someone who lets themself go physically usually knows they are doing it and doesn't care enough to do what it takes to firm things up for both themselves and their spouse. Wit and personality are important, how someone treats their body is part of personality. At times this view has gotten me in trouble with my lovely spouse. If my wife was out of shape and danced I'd be happy because she's too shy to dance for me when she's in shape.

My hubby is sexy on the outside even if he gets old fat and wrinkly, but you can not seperate it from the inside.
I mean, you do not walk down the street and feel attracted to a really old wrinkly, fat man- but if it is your hubby it is different.
