Well, I understand your thoughts -- but I did NOT have to pay that amount in the final decree. I was not asked to pay anything -- I chose to have my son as much as I could and I had a nanny to help while I was working -- but my ex and I decided together that it was better to have our son with Dad than the nanny (post divorce). I said I would pay out of pocket to help in any way I can. So you are incorrect -- it's not my obligation --it's whatI wanted to do to help.

And I was never physically abused -- ever. My son heard some arguing in the next room but he has never been exposed to it personally.

AND I need to clarify there was never any arguing on Christmas day between ex and bf and me....my son only cried because I was leaving -- the demands were coming from BF through text message.

Now there are some (including my therapist) who agree w my BF that I should have boundaries in the divorce and not have dinner and long hours inside my ex's house -- even on Christmas day.

But, my gut told me to stay that day and I regret what I did.

So now you say you decided to give up your son, which conflicts with how you've been saying you were forced to because of your hours and your ex?

And guess what... Saying you will pay something means it is your obligation. You wanted to help, fine, but you said you'd pay... That makes it an obligation. It also means you should stop taking his money for "child support" because you don't have the child, he does, and it's grossly unethical and imorral.

And I was never physically abused -- ever. My son heard some arguing in the next room but he has never been exposed to it personally.

Manhandling you to get to your phone is physical assault. Hearing his mother being verbally abused in the next room is exposing him to it personally.

You keep on defending the boyfriend and his behavior at the expense of your own child. You are emotionally abandoning him for a boyfriend.

AND I need to clarify there was never any arguing on Christmas day between ex and bf and me....my son only cried because I was leaving -- the demands were coming from BF through text message.

... Which is arguing between you and your ex, you focusing on his needs over your own small child, and you trying to justify why that's totally ok...

You look at your son, crying for his mother at Christmas, and you turn your back. You expect him to get why you choose a boyfriend over him, but don't expect your boyfriend to understand why you need to be a mother.

That is why you need to not be around your son until you get your act together. A mother who thinks nothing of hurting their own child, on Christmas no less, has no business being around the poor kid.

Now there are some (including my therapist) who agree w my BF that I should have boundaries in the divorce and not have dinner and long hours inside my ex's house -- even on Christmas day.

Boundaries, sure. Obviously. Like not allowing your ex husband to check you for wires by pulling off your underwear and seeing you nude or coming here to ask if you should entertain advances and sexual requests from your ex despite the fact you are in a sexual relationship with somebody else (did not ever occur to you the boyfriend doesn't trust you with the ex because you let him see you nude and you considered cheating on your boyfriend with the ex? Or because, if we follow the time line here, you were having an affair?).

But it wouldn't have killed you or your man-child boyfriend to have had a small plate of something so you could spend 20 minutes easing your son through a hard transition... His first Christmas without what was his family only a few months prior. A Christmas free of hearing his mother being verbally abused, without some random guy making his mother choose him over her own son, and his mother essentially saying "sorry kid, I choose him and his needs. Don't care about yours."

But, my gut told me to stay that day and I regret what I did.

No you don't. You spent this whole thread justifying why you did it, defending the boyfriend, insulting the child for cryikg, blaming your ex, and saying a therapist signed off on it.

Yes he is def stepping it up to get me back. He wanted me to go on a ski trip today... Quit my job for good. And live with him again... 3 hours away.

So, I tested him. In all honesty. I told him that I couldn't go to the trip because there could be an emergency hearing for my son because of the drama we caused. He told me I was a liar and said he would never talk to me again. Hung up. Said that he was going skiing and I missed out on the chance of my life.

Then he took video of the ring he bought and texted it to me and said that I missed out on the love of my life.

I told him he was making me choose him over my son at a custody hearing! He said it wasn't nevesaary that I'm there at the hearing (apparently he called his attorney and asked) and I shoukd go on ski trip instead. And instructed me to start driving now if I want to save this...
Of course I didn't... But wow!

So he ended it. Just like that. So, I called my attorney and met him for dinner asap. He gave me good advice. As I was walking out I saw a million texts. My ex BF said he called the hostess of the restaurant I was at (I never told him where I was) and she verified for him that I was with another man ... I told him it was none of his business who I was with. And he said good luck.. Go home and fuc@ that guy too...

So now he is no contact with me.

Well, your religion icon says your are Catholic, perhaps you should go talk to your Priest about this guy you've been sleeping with and your problem being a parent for your child.

And still, you have a guy stalking you, stalking your ex, and you haven't called to tell him so he can protect himself, so you can both protect your son. Still you play games by "testing" him. He broke up with you, not you broke up with him.

I give it a week before the "what do I do?" posts start again.

my ex is in full knowledge of this ... In fact he let me sleep on his couch last night.

So I have warned him and I am trying to protect him and my son. I understand what's transpired ... And I am doing my best to change course asap.
