What would you do if you a christian, had a son or daughter that came to you and said I am gay.

First, pray for them and with them that they would know the love of God and have a clear direction about how to follow Him.

Second, join PFLAG.

Nobody should say "I am gay, or strait, or whatever". Everybody should say "I have my own sex desires, and that's my busyness". To say somebody's sexuality is this or that is an open door for prejudice. Our sexuality is a very intimate issue an nobody should be worried about it.

I would still Love my child as dearly as I did before, and would still continue to pray for daily like I did before, I would accept my child, and treat them with love and dignity that we ALL as humans deserve.
