... so many people totally not grasping the topic. The topic is not "where do they go" the topic is "what kind of relationship will they have with a savior when they had never had a conscious thought that could be called sin"

they won't understand what sin is, or pain, or suffering or death, since they died before they even achieved any sort of consciousness.

And we mere imperfect mortals have to work that all out for God because He evidently is not capable doing that?

but before there is a body, I don't believe in preexisting souls.

we are meant, and have always been meant, to be corporeal beings. Being without a body is an unnatural state.

God bless you and good luck. I think the matter in proverbs could be an earthly matter. After all, all of Proverbs is discussing how to navigate earthy matters with eternity in mind.

I suppose I should just say that what kinda prompted this question was a sermon by John McArthur where he talked about how the old testament prophets had a desire to understand salvation, it being a future event for them, and angels wonder over salvation, it being something they cannot experience (if an angel sins they have no option for redemption), and of course in us, salvation being the primary driving cause of thanksgiving and worship.

I understand that completely. But there are topics we have to hand over to God and realize there are certain things we must take in faith.

We see “through a glass” — a mirror — “darkly” we have an imperfect vision of reality. The Apostle Paul explains that we do not now see clearly, but at the end of time, we will do so.

So, first off, I do believe that those who die unborn are with the Lord, 2 Samuel 12 has David saying he'll go to his dead son but his son would not come back to him, unless David was planning on going to hell or annihilation, that tells us where the child went.

but I mean, if a baby is miscarried, never born, never achieves consciousness even... so they never even had personal sinful thought and after dying as far as we know the elect don't sin anymore... so the forgiveness of sin, Jesus dying for them.. what does that mean to them in context? Would they even have a concept of sin having never experienced it? What are they thankful to Jesus for? Would they even understand salvation? What would be their praise? They have no life experience.
Would they just recite the words of other men in the psalms, not even really understanding what they mean?

My Mom miscarried a child before me due to stress at losing her Dad. When all this is over, I get to meet my older brother or sister that was miscarried!

And the only way to do that is from scripture. AFIK scripture does not address it.
