What were some sins, you did not know were sins?

Took me quite some time to realise that going into next doors garden and having a poo was a sin

Woof!
You didn't know when you had it good, being cared for, fed and the like. Now you run the risk of being cast out, not only of the garden next door but of domestic life where every day you will worry about what to wear.

So sorry. And to make matters worse you will no longer be man's best friend but in competition with us as we all seek gain even at each others expense. Welcome to our world.

Celibate
"The Pharisees, Sadducees and scribes taught that there were oaths that were binding and then there were oaths that were not binding. They taught that an oath made by 'heaven and earth,' or by 'Jerusalem' was not binding (Nedarim, 1.3, Shabout, 4.13); but if the oath was made while facing Jerusalem, the oath was binding. Shabout 4.13 says that an oath by God’s name was binding, but vows of incitement, of exaggeration, of error and under constraint were not binding. They declared that vows made by the Torah were nothing, but vows made by the words written in the Torah were binding. Vows in which the words 'temple' and 'altar' occurred were also binding; and the list of examples goes on."

- Yes, yes, No, no! (neverthirsty.org)

In a modern context, it's like when people say a promise doesn't count if you were crossing your fingers behind your back when you made it. According to that website, Jesus was saying don't make vows you aren't intending to keep, but also that it's better not to make vows at all.

Not 100% certain about this one, I could be wrong Afterall. For one I did not know swearing was a sin, swear as in swear to God. For example, saying to somebody, "I swear to God he rear-ended my car". Even if telling the truth, it seems to be a sin, make an answer either yes or no.

Well, here is the thing, lying is a sin, so even if they swore and lied at the same time, their status of sinning against God remains the same. A liar is a liar. And all sin is bad.

But does this also mean to never take oaths? It seems in court cases the defendant is given a Bible and makes a oath that he is telling the truth.

But other than that one, what sins are seems like common sense.

The Bible on a stand probably is based on one of the Ten Commandments:

"You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor."

Sin is then you know the right thing to do, but don't do that thing.

Thoughts are also sins, not just actions. Jealousy, fear, and hate are both the bases of and based on sins.

My comment is direct from scripture. Where did you find yours?

Thoughts - no
actions - no
Jealousy - 14 Do not worship any other god, for the Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God.
fear - no
hate - perhaps.
Proverbs 6:16-19
There are six things that the Lord hates, seven that are an abomination to him:

Wearing makeup, jewelry, cutting hair, wearing pants, playing sports, having hobbies, fake nails, plastic surgery, etc. These are all part of my culture. I feel my entire culture is wrong.

It seems the world outside of the Garden has always been a prison for the Adversary and for mankind.
That is a very fair answer. I think you are correct.
