I collect a variety of things here and there: coins, Archie and Peanuts comics, pamphlets, pinbacks, postcards -- and some oddball novelties (if I can manage to find them).

Thrift stores and yard sales are the two big havens for packrats!!

That is awesome. I should start collecting books. When I was a kid I collected baseball cards and stuff, but not really anything since thing. I'm gonna jump on the book collecting train!

I collect Newsboys stuff, lighthouses, glass, jugs, tins, milk glass, dolls, hello kitty, apples, farm animal, etc. Lots of different stuff. Except for Newsboys, I get rid of some of my collection and then add some. Need a bigger house. lol

I collect sea glass. Pieces of broken glass that have been ground smooth by the sea. It gives me an excuse to spend time on the sea shore, which is a nice place to be.

Some people collect them for craft purposes - using selected pieces to make necklaces and bracelets. I collect them just because I find them attractive to look at and handle.

I discard pieces which have any sharpness or roughness to them - they need to be completely smooth. I mostly favour pale green tints, and don't like brown.

Although they are sellable, I don't collect them for that purpose. I give away a handful to anyone who finds them appealing. Friends who've been to the seaside will sometimes bring me a few they found.
