What type of thermometer do you use?

I need something reliable that I can use on a toddler. I've had an ear thermometer that died pretty quicky after I got it. I would love to have another one of those or something similar/easy but I don't want to waste my money.

I have an ear thermometer ~ braun I think. I wanted to get a digital forehead thermometer but never found the one I was looking for. I think the last time I used one was when my youngest was 2 so I rarely need it

i have the digital forehead and ear in-one that was actually given to me when i had my twins.. its incredible ive had it for 3 yrs and with 6 kids probably use it at least once a month its never failed.. its called MOBI you can get them at walmart.

The chemists have thermometers for kids. We've got a digital one.

Well you could always use the rectal mercury thermometer with some vaseline. Sorry, I just got a flash of the cartoon advertisement with the kid's eyes bugging out about you're going to place it where? We use ear digital.

We only have two because we mislaid the first one during a long period of healthiness and ended up buying another one (because we liked the first) shortly thereafter we found the first one (of course). Both run flawlessly and were recently tested with a fever running temps dangerously high. The batteries in the first one are still good. It is powered by a 9volt just like most smoke detectors so it should be a pretty enduring product.
