"The Arthur Trilogy" by Kevin Crossley-Holland. I read the first one in a few days and am now reading the second. They're really amazing. Unfortunately, the third book in the trilogy isn't coming out until October. Don't any of you discard it as another formalic King Arthur trilogy before taking a look at it. It's very different from what you would expect.

If you're desperate for specifically Harry Potter stuff (or for a laugh):

www.fanfiction.net/list.php?categoryid=224

Some of it's good, some of it's bad (and I mean wash-eyes-out-with-bleach-BAD) -- all of it is Harry Potter! Haha!

Actually, I satisfy myself by reading completely different stuff to take my mind off of it. Recently I read Katherine Neville's "The Eight," which was excellent, as well as "Life of Pi" by an author named Martel. I'm going to read a book called "The Unburied" next -- I can't remember the author, but it's Victorian-style. None of these are fantasy, but oh well. Whatever works, right?

Me neither. The book 'Eragon' is by a kid who rote the first draft of the book when he was 15. He is now 19, and living well :p and he was inspired by the Lord of the Rings books, and the Harry Potter Books. It is about a dragon. I have not actually read it, but one of my best friends has, and they loved it.
