I was wondering who here has been in school and has been taught evolution and how they handled it. Same applies if you have had kids in school who were taught evolution. Any advice you can share with others would be greatly appreciated.

I can't help you, I totally believed evolution without question when I was in school and my parents weren't concerned with what was taught. I didn't become a true Christian until later in life. I have been teaching my kids that mom, God, and the bible are of higher authority than the teacher, who will change every year anyway. I have been wondering what to do about showing my kids The Miracle of Life video. Should I talk though all the 'ancestors from the salty sea" mumbo-jumbo, or just skip over that part of the show and focus on the pro-life aspect of it.

As far as kids go, I currently have none. I pray that when I do get married and am blessed with children that either my wife and I would either be able to home school them or find a "good" private school, preferably home school.

As far as classes go, well, I'm currently taking an Anthropology class. Which I'm sure you all know is one of the major pushers of evolution. So far its been quite interesting, my professor's quite good at not stating "that its a fact" but giving views that lead to you considering it a fact. Oddly enough he's Roman Catholic, anyone know what the official Roman Catholic church's stance is on evolution-age of the earth?

Primarily I just focus on asking certain questions which casts doubt on the evolution view when we come accross certain topics. I'm searching around for a "high quality content" debate video to show to the class, I'm certain I could convince the professor to show it. Haven't found one yet, anyone have any suggestions?

As a former Catholic the churches semi-official stance is that old ages cannot be denied scientifically and that the process of evolution is not in conflict with Church doctrine. I say semi-official because the Catholic Church does not feel that these issues are essential to your status within the Church.

Now the educational/scientific branches of the Church go further. The Vatican Observatory at Mt. Graham Arizona regularly publish papers on cosmology in accord with the standard Big Bang paradigm. The various Catholic universities have active biology departments often peforming research on evolutionary aspects of biology with full approval of the Church.
