If the Bush Administration thinks highly of Christians, than how come they are doing nothing to help the Assyrians and the Assyrian Church of the East in Iraq?
Ok you and your church go to Iraq and help them. Go to Iraq and see what happens. Right now isn't a good time to talk to Iraqis about churches. They are over there dying and I don't think they would want to hear it.

bush is a born again christian so they would think god of christains

I can't believe any thinking person thinks Bush is born again. He goes to bohemian grove and gets in robes and stands in front of some giant Moloch type statue.

Alex Jones snuck into bohemian grove and filmed the whole thing years age.

I'm sure you can find all about this and see for yourself, somewhere on line.

The first film was called something like Dark Secrets inside Bohemian Grove.

Just start typing in Bohemian Grove, Alex Jones into a search engine.

Its a must see for any believer!!

What does Romans 13 tell you?

What does the Bible tell us about how we should act towards our leaders?
So, logically, Hitler and Stalin were put into power by God as well, and we should have done nothing against them?

I'm not agreeing or disagreeing, just clearing up where you stand on the issue.

Franky, I don't think that any of this is my business. George's Christian walk is his business, and I'd rather focus on removing the log out of my own eye. I believe that it's ridiculous to put a "religious man" in charge of a secular state, because it's a very obvious conflict of interest. It's his job to do what's best of the nation, but his faith requires him to do what God wants, and that's not always what's best for the nation.

That said, I really dislike the man and his policies from a political stance, and I think that what he and the Religious Right are doing is despicable, and very, very dangerous to the Christian church, as an organized institution. Religion should never be used as a tool to gain votes, and I believe that Bush and his cronies and those that share his political philosophy are to blame for much of the horrible things going on and many of the problems within the Western Church today.

Yes, God put those people in power too. We need to be careful and prayerful how we react to them. I bleieve going after them was the right thing to do.

I don't agree with most of his policies but he is a far better option than the alternative. Regardless, God did place him there, just as he placed all our leaders and we must be careful how we act and react towards them.

I for one, value my freedom and the although the republicans aren't much better they are less of a threat to our freedom to worship and other things than the dem's...but them I am a libertarian and a pretty strict Consitutionalist.

Regardless, God is in charge, He is soveriegn and He will do whatever He knows is necessary to accomplish His will and His plans.

How are Dems more of a danger to our "freedom" than the Republicans?

It seems that one of the big issues in this election is over whether or not a certain group of people have the right to practice what they believe, without government interference (gay marriage), and the Democrats are trying to allow that while the Republicans are trying to outlaw it.

Also, just because God puts people in power doesn't mean that we should unblinkingly do everything they tell us to (see WWII....). And it obviously doesn't mean that everything they say is right.

As long as the manmade laws do not demand us to disobey God then we have the responsibility to obey them.

It is mainly dem's that are willing to subvert our national soveriegnty in favor of UN and NATO control. Like Clinton placing our troops under foreign command.

Mainly dem's but liberal policies in general are making it more and more difficult to worship God. For example, the recent legislation that would make churches fall under lobbyist laws. Islam is being forced on our children in public schools in some areas but Christianity is being shut down. Evolution? Sex ed? Parental rights are being overrun by the liberal agenda.

Personally I don't care about gay marriage laws. They wouldn't demand that we all be married to same sex partners and no matter what mans laws say, God defines marriage in His mind and we won't change that.

I fail to see anywhere that Democrats have "forced Islam on our children", or anything like that. That's just ridiculous.

The Democrats are trying to separate the Church institution, and the Government institution, which is a very very good thing. How are Democrats making it harder to parents to do their job? Last I heard, they were allowing the parents to teach whatever they wanted to their children, as long as it was legal...and nobody is trying to outlaw Christianity or any other religion. You have to realize that we're not just speaking about Christians.

It seems to me that through the patriot act and other things, the Republicans have made it much harder for Muslims to worship God, not the Democrats.

And it seems to me that the man made law right now is contrary to the law of God. Murdering innocent people in Iraq? Feeding into a system that will keep a large amount of people in the country in extremely poor situations, and not trying to help them out? Those are mainly Bush's policies, and I find them very offensive, as an evangelical Christian.

We should be teaching Evolution in our schools, and we shouldn't be teaching abstinence only sex-ed. If we go about teaching Christian doctrine in our schools, than we're simply taking away the right that others have to worship whatever God they want.
