What the bleep do we know?

I saw the flick. Walked off with 3 thoughts.

1) ‘glory be to god’:
The complexity of some of the verifiable stuff, like the analysis of the atom, makes 1 to think – ‘then how great the creator?!’

2) ‘arrogant man’:
We r the children of adam(p). who was a prophet. We r his descendents so we r honourable by this fact alone. God has given us sense & intellect above the other creatures of the world. He reminds us of this:
17:70 And indeed We have honoured the Children of adam, and We have carried them on land and sea, and have provided them with At-Taiyibat (lawful good things), and have preferred them above many of those whom We have created with a marked preference.

But people like some of those interviewed in the movie become arrogant. Thinking they know better. Thinking they can conceptualise god. That is NOT why god gave us intellect & wisdom. Intellect is for living & surviving. Revelation is to come to know god. thus lest we become so arrogant, we r reminded where we come from.

16:4 He has created man from Nutfah (mixed drops of male and female sexual discharge), then behold! this same (man) becomes an open opponent.

76: 1-3Has there not been over man a period of time, when he was nothing to be mentioned?
Verily, We have created man from Nutfah drops of mixed sperm (discharge of man and woman), in order to try him, so We made him hearer, seer.
Verily, We showed him the way, whether he be grateful or ungrateful.

3) ‘crafty man’:
They mixed real facts with their own conclusions. Presenting it all as fact. This is misleading. It leads 1 to believe that it was more a kind of missionary work than an honest exploration.

-peace.

A friend of mine ranted about how fantastically great this movie was, about how it "opened her mind", about how it "revealed new horizons", and how, at the end of the movie, for just one moment, she felt "at one" with everything.

AFAIK, she wasnt under the influence of any drugs when she saw this movie, so I immediately went down and rented it myself. I mean after such a glowing review, who wouldn't?

Sadly, that's 109 minutes of my life that I cannot get back.
It was a painful. It, along with Bloodrayne and Brainsmasher, is on my list of the top 10 worst movies Ive seen.
