I start with NASB, thinking this translation is generally good and accurate, but I like to check with other Bibles like HCSB, NIV and a Swedish Bible SFB15. I also read the NKJV with included commentary. Often I do a search for a particular verse on the Bible Hub, and I got a full range of possible translations.
