I'm on the Lord's side.

There are many heterosexuals that can not marry for various reasons. They are supposed to be celibate.

I lived up to that christian standard for many many years. I was a celibate single person.

What makes a gay person "better" than the biblical standards we have been given?

Unmarried heterosexuals outnumber ALL homosexuals by several magnitudes.
The "Lord's Side" is one of compassion and mercy, not judgment and bigotry.

She's no longer OBOB for the Nth time since her initial "conversion."

I picked A, although it isn't specifically stated well enough. They must be as monogomous and loving as any heterosexual relationship must be.

I agree with PV. (Side A)

Faithful coupling is best.

I realize some people (gay or straight) are CALLED to celibacy, and it is a gift of God.

For celibacy to be required of anyone who is not called to it is ridiculous.

It's not at all uncommon to see people on both sides use loaded words when discussing topics such as this. Sad, truly.:(
This is true. Both sides are guilty of using loaded words from time to time. And you're right, it is sad. Neither side is totally right or good. I do, however, believe that the Lord would go more with Side A than Side B.

Does it matter whatever side is "winning?"

How about each side recognizes each other's Christianity and commitment to living faith in Christ as Savior?

I agree.

Then again, some are liberal and introduce strange doctrines such as polygamy and consider prostitution to not be a sin.

Sound familiar?

Uhmmm polygamy is all through the Bible. :sorry:
Unless you are saying Liberals are trying to get us to be more like the people in the Bible? In which case I agree. :)

I am Side B. I believe that homosexuals should be celibate.

May I ask you a sincere question? I noticed your answer to another thread you'd started, stating this:

I happen to be bisexual.

Please, do not think I'm singling you out or anything, but I thought I'd call you out on that because I'm quite interested in your response.

Does that, then, mean that if you found a woman whom you shared immense, loving sentiments with, that you would still consider a life of celibacy? Or, is your current bisexuality an aversion to full-blown homosexuality or heterosexuality? Would living together in a monogomous relationship with another woman (marriage, if legal) be prohibited in your mind? Why or why not?

Okay, I'm done with the "20 questions."

Can't I be on both sides?

I think celibacy is a great virtue but I'm not about to be a jerk to same-sex couples.
Sure I suppose you can be on both sides. I didn't take that into account when creating the poll though so you'll have to choose one option or the other. Sorry. :p
