Emm.. I beg to differ but they are most definitely sarcastic when they deal with issues. As Godown said they do it in a spirit of love and Duplantis especially uses sarcasm in his messages and tells you exactly how things are. Sarcasm is not evil nor is it hateful. Where you got that I have no idea. The word hateful was never used. When one knows how to use sarcasm properly it is a wonderful tool.

Wow, a kindred spirit. Will you be my neighbour. ^_^

I have a question for the OP... did you just post this as a teaching or are you under the impression that someone here might be offended or offending someone?

If you posted this just as a teaching then beware lest you be judge and jury and the same measure that you mete it will be given back to you...

but if you think there are some here that are offended or offending then come out and say it and get to the heart of the matter so we can fix it and move on...

I remember a church I used to be in, people always tried to use things to rebuke you, like prayer, which is supposed to be fellowship with God, but instad the would pretend to be praying to God but actually giving you a lecture... this is deceitful and lacks integrity, if you have something against your brother TELL HIM...

A teaching? In a way I guess but not really. It is frustration over these type of posts. If you think that sarcasm and coming against is the way to win people to our point of view is right then you are mistaken. As far as having something against my brother, no. I have something against hurting people for no reason. Using the ignore button speaks volumes as well so my brother knows that I do not approve of the posting style. I dont like using that button as it cuts off fellowship but I refuse to read this type of thing any more. Losing it is one thing but posting consistantly like that is another. If I dont agree with something then I am no longer WOF is not the answer either. You have seen my posts and know that I am. What went on in the main forum and posts that have been done here are not Christlike in any way. Many people agree with me as have recieved rep and pms from people telling me so and some were WOF, more than one. Just because others will not speak out does not mean they are in agreement with what has been ghappening. Your posts are instructive and full of depth and I enjoy them, why cant we keep all posts on a level of edification or at least expressing deispleasure in a way that doesnt offend?

No, I love Rick Renner's teaching and I thought this was an interesting one so I put it on. He has such a wonderful understanding of the Greek language. This is just one that came in my e-mail. You can sign up and get them daily at http://www.renner.org/cgi-bin/gx.cg...r?pagename=FaithHighway/10000/4000/320RI/home.

I didn't think this teaching had anything to do with anything on this board. First, it's talking about unbelievers and then it's talking about things that happen to believers that cause them to be shocked or dumbfounded. I don't think anything that happens here has that affect. To me, that is something that happens in your personal life. I don't believe we have any scandals on this board.

Other people post these type of messages all the time but maybe I shouldn't.

You are right, you have every right to post it, I personally like Rick Renner, just the current mood here has people a little edgy... Good post , God bless, Mike.

you keep throwing around the phraes "brother " is that an american thing, because i have few brothers on this forum, only those who are truly born again of the spirit of God...

anyone who is truly born again I will truly call my brother and we can fellowship together but just because CF says you are a christian doesn't make it so...

Lets start with born again, who is that? Those that agree with you and only them or all who have come to accept Jesus as their Lord and saviour? The 99 per cent that you didnt respond to speaks as well. All who are saved are filled with the Spirit of God or is that only for a few that agree as well?

Salvation Romans 10:9-10. If we confess with our mouth and believe in our heart, that is salvation and makes nop mention of what we accept or reject of the gospel where healing deliverance and prosperity is concerned. Thos issues a a large part of what defines us as distinct within the body of Christ, it does not make us THE body. All who are born again are filled with the Spirit of God so to me they are all my brothers.

I agree with all that, you get no complaints from me on any of the above, now ask Ricky what he believes and if he tells lies I will just post what I copied from an earlier post where he describes how one is saved...

BTW you never answered my question... How long were you a catholic before you were converted?

Me. I was a catholic for 21 years...

Concerning Salvation, WE BELIEVE:
  • That all have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God. (Romans 3:23)
  • That salvation is a free gift that can not be earned by works. (Ephesians 2:8)
  • That Jesus is the only way to receive salvation. (John 14:6, Acts 4:12)
  • That unless we are born again, we will not see the Kingdom of God. (John 3:3)
  • That while we were yet sinners, God demonstrated His love for us by sending us Jesus. (Romans 5:8)
  • That when we repent of our sins, that God is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:9)
  • That when we confess with our mouths that Jesus is Lord and believe in our hearts that God raised Him from the dead, we will be saved. (Romans 10:9-13)
  • That Jesus' sacrifice for us is full and sufficient for our redemption and full restoration into right relationship with the Father. (Hebrews 7:27, Romans 3:21-22)
  • That when you have received the free gift of salvation, you become a new creature in Christ, old things are passed away and all things become new. (2 Corinthians 5:17)
  • That everyone will face judgment at death, and anyone who dies without receiving the free gift of salvation has no further opportunity to hear the Gospel and repent and will face eternal retribution for their sins in hell. (Hebrews 9:27, Revelation 19:20)
Baptism is NOT a requirement for salvation. Yet, in Rick's FAQ sticky ( http://www.christianforums.com/showpost.php?p=10774663&postcount=2 ), he specifically states that baptism is:

"The means of spiritual rebirth through which we are made children of God and heirs of Heaven"

This is in violation of WOF beliefs.

What I( have told you is the truth and I have no motives for what I say other than what I have stated. If it was you that had had those things thrown at you continually I would be saying the same things. There is no place for sarcasm or hurt where it is not called for.

I don't know what you are trying to say... this is a wof forum, Ricky by his own admission is not born again as wof describes or as any evengelical church describes either, so I for one am not interested in him trying to preach the "gospel" to me and I am not interested in any teaching from the Catholic church, which he tries to promote here all the time...

and by the way, taliking about hurt, I left a church which I believe (me persoanlly) is the anti christ religion and when I come in here you people are trying to force me to listen to him, force me to fellowship with him and you are knocking me because I don't want to...

I left that church for that reason and all you "christians" are trying to force me to listen to that doctrine again...

so don't talk to me about someone being hurt... as I said I was in the catholic church for 21 years...

this is all just my opinion, I have been trying to refrain from posting it but you need to understand my position...
