I agree that to be born again one must confess and believe in their heart and baptism does not save but to say someone is not saved because of baptism is different. What I saw was scripture supporting baptism. Because someone believes different but is christian is not reason to come against. Sure you try to show them truth but they are still Christian. I believe in immersion for baptism but if someone believes in sprinkling I do not question their salvation.

you really have no idea do you... this was talking about sprinkling of water on a 6 week old baby making them saved and born again... is that your understanding? because it certainly is not the wof understanding nor it is the evangelical understanding...

of cvourse it is not my understanding but if I am not mistaken there are many denominations that do this or did in the past. I believe the Methodists do this and many have debated over an age of accountability for going to hell. I do not believe these things, it takes a personal committment to Christ in our hearts to be saved, are you saying that somewhere in some post Father Rick has said that he personally is saved by baptism and not his own personal belief in Christ?

This is what he said...

Baptism: The means of spiritual rebirth through which we are made children of God and heirs of Heaven: ``Amen, amen I say to thee, unless a man be born again of water and the Holy Ghost, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.'' (John 3:5. Also see Acts 2:38, Rom. 6:2-6).

Again I see a denominational position of baptism that I think some protestant denominations have to cover children until what they consider the age of accountability and scripture supporting baptism. Have you ever asked him what he believes?

I like Rick Renner. He was one of the first I saw in person when I came into Word of Faith that did deep word studies. That could be who got me into it ^_^ . I love word studies. About his quote here :

"If you discover that you have been a source of offense to someone else, take the mature path and go ask that person to forgive you. And don’t get defensive, for that will only make the problem worse. It may even lead to a deeper conflict, so just say you are sorry and move on!

Do everything you can to bury that offense and destroy what the devil is trying to do between you. Make it your personal aim to help that other person overcome what he thinks you did or said. Sometimes it is more important to help the other person attain a position of peace than it is to prove who is right or wrong!"

Not alot do this because they are too proud

John Bevere also teaches about offense alot. And one thing in particular is taking up the offence of others. We need to avoid doing that.

You're Right J4Jesus and I'm sorry if it seemed like I came down on his entire message that was posted there. He had good points in it and there was truth about how to deal relationally with people when there is offense in the air. My problem was simply that it was not a correct use of the verse to back up what he was saying and that is easily done. All of us have done it by accident and probably will again due to personal revelation and/or insight and understanding. I in no way want to dock someone for making a mistake, just want to help bring truth, light, and understanding from the Word :).

Oh, and yea I enjoy a lot of John Beveres teachings and you are right.. We must not take on others offenses. It is one of the stupidist ways to hurt ourselves because we choose to take on the offense and get ourselves involved in a hurtful situation which really was none of our business. Not only that, but the offense was not even done to us nor did it involve us so therefore we end up being consumed with something that really never even touched us any way, make, shape, or form except that we heard it second hand (or maybe saw it) from another individual or group. I think this is definitely a whole other issue altogether lol and would require some time to look up on and write out properly. WISH I HAD THE TIME ^_^!
