Hi everyone, I have a problem. As a devoted believer in Christ I wanted very much to see Mel Gibson's "the Passion", but when I see any of the disturbingly realistic depictions of the crucifixion I freak out, like I'm just so overwhelmed I feel like I'm gonna puke. I don't feel this way cause I'm a prude or anything, it's just an involuntary reaction, I've never felt anything like it, but it's horrible. So I'm pretty sure I won't be able to watch the movie, but the bigger problem is this; is it wrong to be so disturbed by depictions of what happened to our savior, for us, for ME, to the point where I cannot take it? It feels wrong, like I I'm refusing to face reality, but just one of the pictures from the film involving the crucifixion just traumatizes me so much, its maybe the worst feeling I've ever experienced. Is it wrong to feel this way? Am I being selfish? Thanks ahead of time. Mike
