You got to have a little faith my brother...

Is it wiser to have great faith in human abilities or little faith in human abilities?

If you love the Lord with all your heart and all your might, all the other things come to you...

And how does one do so?

Willful sinning is a choice.

If sinning is a choice, then it is clear that every human makes the choice to sin. Does making the choice to sin preclude one from salvation? Is our ongoing salvation contingent upon sinlessness?

Those who says he/she can not stop sinning has not asked God to intervene on their behalf.

So, if we don't ask, God will not intercede on behalf of believers.. . . . Is that what the Scriptures teach?
"In the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words." Romans 8:26
Who is more powerful?

The Holy Spirit working in the life of a believer is infinitely more powerful than the filthy rags of human righteousness. The point here is reliance on God and not on self.

That is the biblical definition of justification.

So you believe that the Bible teaches that in order to let Jesus into our hearts, we must stop sinning? This is not what the Bible teaches regarding justification. Justification and sanctification are the works of God, not men:

"You were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God." 1 Corinthians 6:11

Justification is not the work of men trying to stop sinning, it is the work of God in the life of the sinner:

"All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified as a gift by His grace through the redemption which is in Christ Jesus; whom God displayed publicly as a propitiation in His blood through faith This was to demonstrate His righteousness, because in the forbearance of God He passed over the sins previously committed; for the demonstration, I say, of His righteousness at the present time, so that He would be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus." Romans 3:23-26

Mrs. White directly contradicts Scripture when she teaches that, in order to let Jesus into our hearts, we must stop sinning. In order to espouse such a teaching, one must believe that no one has ever let Jesus into his heart and that no man will ever be justified. All sin and fall short. Every man who sins is a slave to sin. We are justified despite our sin and not because of our sinlessness!

Do you think repentance merely means you are sorry about sinning but without committing yourself to turning away from sin?

Scripture is clear that, until Christ's second coming, repentant believers continue to sin. The beauty of the gospel is that hopeless sinners have a Savior. If we could save ourselves, what need have we of a Savior?

Pray and ask that the Holy Spirit be given to guide you into understanding, and it will guide you into the answers you need....

John 16:13
Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
John 16:12-14 (in Context) John 16 (Whole Chapter)

I have done so, and here is what I found:
“All of us have become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous acts are like filthy rags; we all shrivel up like a leaf, and like the wind our sins sweep us away. No one calls on your name or strives to lay hold of you; for you have hidden your face from us and made us waste away because of our sins. Isaiah 64:6-7

“What shall we conclude then? Are we any better? Not at all! We have already made the charge that Jews and Gentiles alike are all under sin. As it is written: ‘There is no one righteous, not even one; there is no one who understands, no one who seeks God. All have turned away, they have together become worthless; there is no one who does good, not even one. Their throats are open graves; their tongues practice deceit. The poison of vipers is on their lips. Their mouths are full of cursing and bitterness. Their feet are swift to shed blood; ruin and misery mark their ways, and the way of peace they do not know. There is no fear of God before their eyes. . . . There is no difference, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.” Romans 3

No one calls on your name or strives to lay hold of you; for you have hidden your face from us and made us waste away because of our sins. Isaiah 64:6-7

"Teacher, what good thing must I do to get eternal life?" "Why do you ask me about what is good?" Jesus replied. "There is only One who is good.” Matt. 19:16

“If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us.” 1 John 1:8-9

Is it possible that a person reading your post might conclude that you believe that salvation is by faith PLUS works? Please clarify.

I was hoping to clarify your statement, "You got to have a little faith my brother." Why would you assume that I don't have faith. Is it because I'm not a Seventh-day Adventist?

Man sometimes tries to do it from self, or "mans wisdom" and fails when it comes to spiritual things....

True. However, I still wonder why you’ve concluded that I don’t have a little faith.

P.S. I am experiencing significant difficulty in posting on this site. If I don’t immediately respond, it isn’t due to lack of interest but due to significant technical difficulty!
