What qualifies me to write on this forum?

Hello and God bless.
This was partially addressed in the "hmm" thread, but what does it take for me to qualify as charismatic-enough to post on this forum? I am a Christian, believe in the tongues and believe in the gifts of the Holy Spirit. At the same time though, I am very skeptical about being slain in the spirit and laughing in the spirit. Truthfully, I believe that God does sometimes slay people in the Spirit but I believe that many "slayings" are not real, such as in churches where being slain has become fashionable. I am even more skeptical about the Word of Faith movement. Am I charismatic enough to post on this forum? Thank you, and once again God bless!

Slain in the Spirit? There's already a thread on this that was just started. I posted this there:

A good book to read is Overcome By The Spirit by Francis MacNutt. He was a sceptic when he first saw people falling under the power of God, until it began to happen in his own ministry. Of course, he goes on to find out what it's all about.
Another good resource is Why Do People Fall Under The Power --- a little thin booklet by Kenneth E. Hagin.
I think you'll find all the scripture verses you want in these books.

With regard to manifestations and workings of the Spirit, there will always be excesses and abuses, but then we shouldn't throw out the baby with the bathwater. Same for WOF
