What President Joe Biden would do to stop Covid-19
Joe Biden’s message on Covid-19 is simple: “It did not have to be this way.”

That is arguably the theme of Biden’s entire presidential campaign. But it is especially relevant to health care, where the coronavirus response and the conservative crusade to overturn Obamacare combine to demonstrate the vivid contrast between the president we have and the president Joe Biden promises to be.
tulc(thought this was interesting)

Joe has already shown how he would deal with it: Have everyone hide out in their basement for 3 months.....just like he did. Oh, wait most people aren't wealthy enough to do that....too bad for them I guess. They'll just have to take their chances....and keep delivering groceries to Joe's house.

oh...just like President Trump did...oh wait... Fact check: Trump had rallies, golfed as COVID-19 outbreak grew
On Feb. 28, at a Charleston, South Carolina, rally, Trump called the coronavirus the Democrats' "new hoax." That day, there were 59 confirmed cases and two coronavirus deaths in the United States, according to the World Health Organization. There were 4,691 cases around the globe.

Throughout February and early March, Trump insisted the U.S. had the coronavirus under control and that Americans should stay calm. At a televised visit to the CDC on March 6, Trump said the coronavirus "came out of nowhere."

During this time, Trump played golf on Jan. 18 and 19, Feb. 1 and 15, and March 7 and 8, according to the Trump Golf Count website.

He hosted rallies on Jan. 9 (Toledo, Ohio); 14 (Milwaukee), 28 (Wildwood, N.J.) and 30 (Des Moines, Iowa), as well as Feb. 10 (Manchester, N.H.), 19 (Phoenix), 20 (Colorado Springs), 21 (Las Vegas) and 28 (Charleston, S.C.).

And the world was still going out to eat, to movies, to shopping malls, traveling around the country, etc, etc.

From your own posted source:
On January 31, CDC published its third Health Advisory with interim guidance for clinicians and public health practitioners.††† In addition, CDC issued a Clinical Action Alert through its Clinician Outreach and Communication Activity network on January 31.§§§ (my bolding)

BTW, golf is one of the few outdoor activities where social distancing is easily accomplished.

...which apparently turned out to be the right way to respond to the outbreak. As opposed to holding rallies.

Gotta say, while I don't care for any sports I can at least understand why some people like them. But the allure of golf has always eluded me. :sorry:

Wow...a Fox news reporter who thinks people are treating Joe Biden differently from the President of the United States? Who could have seen that happening?
tulc(is shocked!) :swoon:
Hmmmm, IIRC when Chris Wallace moderated the Trump/HRC debate he was praised all around for his even handed treatment.....so that accusation holds no water....
Trump goes after Fox News host, and the network, in Twitter flurry
Fox News host hits back at Trump over Chris Wallace criticism: 'Enough'
Trump Criticizes Fox News on Fox News Before Fox News Town Hall
.....and etc, etc.......

You make it too easy tulc.......

Wait...they were quoting Chris Wallace in that article? I thought it was guy who worked for Fox news quoting a guy from "The Hill"?

Trump doing them from the White House.

Where do you suggest that Biden should be doing interviews if not his home?

"That is indicative of the Trump administration’s overall approach: hands off. Biden is promising much more aggressive federal intervention."

This is why Biden should not be President, because he doesn't understand the limitations of the office.

This was a state issue. Governors failed their states. States had vastly different situations and should have been handled by the boots on the ground.

Aggressive federal intervention = dictatorship. May we never get there.

That's the problem.....he was not doing interviews from anywhere at all for 89 days.......
"CBS Evening News" anchor and managing editor Norah O'Donnell spoke with Joe Biden on Monday after he met with George Floyd's family in Houston. Watch more of the interview with Biden on Gayle King's special "Justice for All" on Tuesday, June 9 at 10 p.m. ET on CBS and CBSN."

Maybe you don't watch CBS or it was just too late at night for you if you are on the east coast.
He's done others, as well. Such as 7/14 on CNBC, etc.

Considering what's going on in Portland, the irony of this post is...actually pretty staggering. :sorry:

Rioting is going on in Portland because the impotent governor won't do anything, standing by, watching his people riot and damage government buildings like the Court House. You do realize that DHS protects federal property, right? The rioters (not the peaceful protesters, who have been left alone) are hurling frozen water bottles and other weapons at and lasering the eyes of the officers.

Three federal officers could be permanently blind after laser attacks from Portland protesters

Get the facts. You are clearly stuck in an echo chamber. THAT is what is staggering.

...an army invades an already tense city and some people fight back? I'm shocked. It's almost like throwing gas on a fire doesn't actually put the fire out! :swoon:
tulc(wonders who could have seen that happening?) :sorry:

And the irony just grows when invading a city with federal troops without an invitation is seen as perfectly okay, but fighting a health crisis is "dictatorship".
tulc(understands: thousands of Americans dying daily isn't as important as a building being graffitied)
