Well, given my username, Beren would be the logical choice But since it has to be a LotR character, I would say Faramir.

Of all the female characters in LotR I loved Eowyn the most, and when I first read it, I thought that her and Aragorn were going to get together (I completely missed the whole significance of the Arwen-at-Elrond's-place scene in the book). So when Aragorn turned her down, I was quite upset, and saw Faramir as the 'second best'.....

however after re-reading the books, I fell quite in love with Faramir- he really is quite fine Especially his rejecting of the ring when Frodo offered it, and that not-if-it-lay-by-the-highway-would-i-take-it speech. <sigh>

I read that Faramir is really Tolkien inserting himself into the book. What a cool thought! I'd marry Faramir too.

I didn't know that Tolkien inserted himself as Faramir in LotR- that's really interesting However, I do know that he moulded the character of Luthien on his wife, Edith, and based the Beren-Luthien dancing scene on a trip he took with Edith, before they were married. So sweet

I would marry the character Eomer because he's such a determined person, and skilled warrior.

Hm, probably Eowyn if anyone, though there aren't a lot of candidates where female characters are concerned. She's got a good head on her shoulders, and isn't afraid of death.
