CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

In short, live a decent life. Take care of yourself, take care of your family, and take care of your neighbors. Stop in once a week or so and pay your respects.

God wants us to serve Him by serving others. God wants our life to be a challenge that helps us grow closer to Him. God wants our life to be filled with His love and for that love to be shared with everyone we come into contact with.

For the lost sheep to return to the good shepherd, Jesus, who is unrelentingly looking out for us and longing for us to return to His fold, so He can rejoice and carry us on His shoulders.
For each and everyone of us to know we are deeply loved by God and that we are so saturated by this love that we cannot help but desire to share it with others.
To feel the same compassion as Jesus did for the sheep with no shepherd - the sinners, the outcasts, the poor, the unwanted and the brokenhearted. They all have a place in the heart of our tender and merciful God and He longs for them to come home to Him.
To carry our lamps into the darkest places so others will see our good works and glorify our Father in Heaven.
