I thought it was that Jesus said that the old ways are done with and that the Gospel replaced traditions and sacrifice and the notion that there was a way to make ammends with God for our transgressions.

In essence, when Jesus and the apostles say that the law is done with, they do not mean that we should stop following it; they mean that it no longer controls us. They are saying that the law should no longer be a basis of being accepted by God, and that faith in the gospel is the only thing taken into consideration for salvation.
Make no mistake.
I'm not implying there is no 'law' for Christians.
BUT, that the 'old' 'law' has passed away.
WE, as Christians, are now subject to the 'law' of Christ.
romans 8:2
For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
since the beginning of creation with Adam and Eve, sacrificing of Animals was never a option.
Gen 2
15: And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.
16: And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:
17: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.
all Adam and Eve had to do was obey God's words?
death would not have entered the picture.
to obey is better than sacrifice.
1Sam 15:22 And Samuel said, Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.
what if Adam and Eve had obeyed and hearkened?
would the blood of a animal be needed?
would the blood of Jesus be needed?
and because of this God called him a FRIEND!!
Are you saying the Jews dictate how God will maintain a relationship with mankind?are any of you aware that a altar for sacrificing has been built by the jews in Israel who want to build a temple in Jerusalem?
are you aware that they will bring back animal sacrifices?
everyone who responded to this topic know that the animal sacrifices are no more!!
we all agree on this!!
yet most of us here think that the commandments GOD gave Moses are done away with.
Most of us here think that the dietary laws God gave Moses is done away with.
most of us here think that the feast days that God gave Moses are done away with.
yet in the near future animal sacrifice will be reinstituted by the Jews.
Are you saying the Jews dictate how God will maintain a relationship with mankind?
If Paul was in Jesus and Jesus said the below how can they both be right?
Are you saying if I trust and do what Jesus said, I am now fallen from grace?
Matthew 5:17 -20 "Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished. Anyone who breaks one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven. For I tellyou that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven."
No one, and most certainly not GOD will condemn his children for following the commandments and the laws (without sacrifice and punishments, for we have a high preist CHRIST JESUS in heaven doing this for us on our behalf right now and vengance will always belong to GOD).
Hebrews 8:13 By calling this covenant 'new' he has made the first one obsolete; and what is obsolete and aging will soon disappear.
It is not implied here that anything is over yet and as Jesus says 'until heaven and earth disappear'.
You can call me and others who do not agree with your point of view a judaizer all you want, it will never make us stop listening to Jesus.
And I will not condemn nor judge you for listening and doing what the Lord leads you to do either.
It is the free will to choose that GOD has given each of us and we must respect that in each other (I am speaking to all sides of this issues).
You are only taking part of what Jesus said into consideration! You read "Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets" and "For I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven" But look closely; He says "I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them." To FULFILL them. The law POINTS to Jesus Christ because we know we cannot be righteous to God on our own, for if we commit only ONE sin, we are not good enough. Jesus talks with the abscence of grace because... oh wait... grace hasn't been fulfilled yet! He hasn't died for the sins of mankind yet! The law shows us that we are sinful, and compltely un-righteous. But Christ, being the only righteous person to ever walk the planet, traded our sins for His righteousness. So when he says "For I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven" He means that we can only enter heaven if we make the trade with Him, and accept his righteousness.
The verse I chose to be my name for this forum is Galatians 2:21 which applies PERFECTLY to this situation. "I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!" I believe sin is devistating to your walk with God, and hurts non-believer's view of Christianity, but I think I've proven my point that sinning after accepting Christ WILL NOT affect your salvation.

Jesus said
Jn 4:22 Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews.
Paul said the Jews have the oracles!
Rom 3
1: What advantage then hath the Jew? or what profit is there of circumcision?
2: Much every way: chiefly, because that unto them were committed the oracles of God.
and
1: I say the truth in Christ, I lie not, my conscience also bearing me witness in the Holy Ghost,
2: That I have great heaviness and continual sorrow in my heart.
3: For I could wish that myself were accursed from Christ for my brethren, my kinsmen according to the flesh:
4: Who are Israelites; to whom pertaineth the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service of God, and the promises;
5: Whose are the fathers, and of whom as concerning the flesh Christ came, who is over all, God blessed for ever. Amen.
Isaiah said
Isa 8:20 To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.
we have God (Jesus)
we have to great prophets(Isaiah and Paul)
answering your question
this is what I believe, know,
why?
because I read it!
to answer your question
Jesus dictates what we are to beleive by using his word given to his people for ALL mankind to follow!
who gave this word to man?
who where the men he gave it to?
what are their nationality?
Here is what I have obtained by the study of Galatians in light of the full gospel of GOD old and new.
Supervision of the Laws are no longer by man but by GOD's Holy Spirit, given through Faith in Christ Jesus. It all is in reference to the difference between the covenants, the Old being circumscision of the flesh done by man and the new circumscision of the Spirit, done by GOD. They are all still GOD's Laws whether through Moses or through the Holy Spirit.
If Jesus meant that HIS grace extended to those who wish to continue in their sinfull nature HE would not have went to the extent of clarifying the laws. HE would have been honest and forthright as this is what HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS is and told the people to disregaurd the Laws because HE was going to forgive all of their wickedness whether they repented or not. I will not adhere to or teach such a gospel of lies.
Full righteousness cannot be obtained by adherance to the law alone, even when this is done we all fall short of HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS, here is where the grace of CHRIST JESUS takes over and makes us perfect. Do not be led into believing that disobedience to GOD's Laws will gain you enterance into HIS KINGDOM.
Light hearted;54031832]Just because they are building a temple to sacrifice animals does not mean it is God approved. Many Jews deny that Jesus has come to earth yet.
Perhaps my words don't mean much, let's use one of your own references in post 51 of Faithful servant of the Lord's house.
Hebrews 8:8, God found fault with the people of Isreal.
I know you have misinterpurted the verse in Hebrews 10. I ask you reread it from Isreals point of view. These people sacrificed animals for 100's of years, now Jesus, the son God is sacrificed, which far exceeds the ability of any animal sacrifice.
8:26 Once they had heard the knowledge of truth, Jesus sacrifice, there is no more sacrificing necessary.
Once they fall back into animal sacrifice again there will be judgement upon them, for if they put the animal above Jesus it would be as if trampling the Son of God under foot.
This sounds like a warning to what you say they are going to do, with going back to animal sacrifice.
also for us christians if we keep sinning after Jesus came and died for our past sins we trample his sacrifice for us underfoot.
what do you think?
No that is completely false. Jesus died for ALL sin, which means past, present, and future.
If you believe Christian's don't sin, you are greatly mistaken. Even Paul says in Romans 7 "For in my inner being I delight in Gods law; but I see another law at work in the members of my body, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within my members. What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body of death?"
