what is grace? is it not the blood of Jesus. if so, then what did Jesus blood replace?
who remitted out sins? Jesus,
so if we sin after we know the truth will he offer his blood again?
what sins are those? the ones that you committed before you confessed and came into the knowledge of the truth?
Rom 3:25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
you say you are born again, so you admit you know the truth, do you still sin since you know the truth? have you wilfully sinned against God since knowing the truth? if so, shall Jesus die for you sins again.
Paul speaks of remission of past sins.
Jesus is the Hope, Jesus blood is grace, Jesus word sanctify us
all this is written
People don't understand sin.
are you a Jew? what about the other 11 tribes, Hebrews cover more than Jews, the audience is whoever read Hebrews and the entire bible.
Paul is teaching them that animal sacrifice is over with and the Blood of Jesus has replaced it!
so Jesus blood Grace is what replaced animal sacrifice?
I did mention grace? I just did not use the word grace.
Go back and read the topic
what law did Jesus replace?
Jesus replaced the animal sacrifice with what? His blood!
its called understanding!
that sacrifice is Jesus blood which is grace.
so since you admitted again that you can sin what law did Jesus not replaced? and you admitted that the past sins are forgiven because you said that you can still sin.
the people don't understand the wrongful side of sin and no more sacrifice of sin what make you think they would understand the joyful side?
people don't understand that they can wilfully sin? people don't understand that when they sin the Lord cannot die for their present and future sins, if Jesus cannot do this is their more sacrifices for sins?
NO!
because it is written.
Jesus cannot come and die for our sins again so what side does it show up on?
What is Grace? Grace is unmerited favor, it is being in God's favor yet you did not work for it. Had you worked for it, you would have earned it such as like a paycheck. In the law it was considered "works" merited favor. Problem was, works did not turn peoples heart toward God. Being that Grace is unmerited, we cannot boast of ourselves, we only boast of the Lord, Jesus and the work that he did.
You do counterdict yourself through the posts, here and other threads, you say that Grace was upon the earth in Noah's time, yet above you state that Jesus blood is Grace. Jesus's blood was not spilled out til New Testament times.
Can you explain the Grace that was granted to Noah in his time?
Jesus blood is eternal, I didn't see it, yet I believe it. Remember I wrote in an earlier post. That which is seen is temporal, that which is not seen is eternal. Surely your next comment will be for those of whom where there the day Jesus did spill his blood. Consider doubting Thomas, he wanted to see to believe, and he did see and he believed. Jesus then says, blessed are those who have "not" seen and yet believed. So since I believe Jesus spilled His blood for my sins, and I did not see it, it is eternal, my cleansing is eternal.
Romans 3 Does say for past sins. These obviously are for the sins commited before being born again in the Spirit. You have mentioned this, you are correct. Where animals had to be sacrificed year after year, Jesus sacrifice was once and for all.
Let's ask this, after one has been born again in the Spirit, and one does sin again willingly, is there a way to reconcile with God?
If so what would the action be to do so?
I've read your accusations of "people don't understand sin". You could not be more incorrect. I say this firmly, yet with love.
Ok, here goes. In order to be born again in the Spirit, the Holy Spirit stirs our heart, for me it was a never ending hunger. Not for food, it was deeper, it was Spiritual. Finally God send a neighbor and another friend who spoke of God. Before this time, I had abolutly nothing to do with God, nothing, and I mean nothing. After hearing testamonies I learned what the hunger was. It was the Holy Spirit knocking.
Oh my God (literally), it is the one true God, calling me, wow.
Go to Romans 10, What did I have to confess...the fact that my sins have kept me apart from God. I had to know what sin was and confess it right to God's face. Did you read that, God found my confession true, for he knows the heart. My confession wasn't man approved, it was God approved.
Don't tell a born again person that they don't understand sin, we have a God approved knowledge of sin that we will stand beyond any accusation you may say.
I'm sorry the statements above seem harsh, I just didn't want to be mistaken.
You harp on the topic of "Jesus replacing the law of animal sacrifice". No one here this denied this statement.
Now I ask a question concerning the sacrifice. Were there other laws or procedures that changed when Jesus changed the law of sacrifice?
Jesus did not come to remove sin from the world. Jesus came to remove sin from those who believe in him, and have been indwelled with the Holy Spirit.
Sin in the world will continue, I do not understand where you got the idea that sin in the world is removed. We who are rightious are the good crops that live with the weeds. We must endure to the end, Jesus gives us the strenth to do so. Jesus is our strength, once again, not that we may boast of ourselves, but in Jesus who saved us.
