Soon = Max Payne II, Half Life II, CS 2.0/CS Condition Zero. Doom III.
PC gaming is for advanced users; not like toss-in-the-CD/DVD-and-play, as it is with consoles.

PC gaming is also for the rich/hardcore gamers. It takes a chunk of change and a devotion to gaming to keep up with PC games these days.

Anyways, PCs are WAY more than simply games. They are much better for online gaming for one, they are also for internet browsing, video-editing, movie watching, chatting, offline gaming, etc. etc. Are you coming to CF from your XBOX? Ha, I think not. All my online games are free, unlike the XBOX Live and PS2 online deals. I build my own PCs and repair them myself - no money wasted there.
But your on PS2, and you don't know all about the Ghost Recon goodness.
Its not about a quick trigger, but about team work, and execution of some well thought out plans. The quick trigger is there in some games, but mostly its about who sees who first. No danceing around, no running around like rambo. Stealth is the major factor.
Trade in that PS2 and get an xbox.

I have a good 3d card on my PC so I play a lot of games on there as well. A lot easier to control FPS's with a mouse, anyway. I practically have my own XBox right in front of me.
