• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

my mom's suffering from menopause.. i know it's normal and it happens to all women but she's suffering a lot and is depressed most of the time.. i bought activella for her at http://www.drugdelivery.ca/s33915-s-ACTIVELLA.aspxbut i'm not sure that it helps.. and worse, she doesnt' believe in God... I talked with her, I prayed for her.. but nothing changes.. she's not a believer and nowadays she gets irritated when i try to talk her into going to church.. years back she would jokingly say that she doesn't mind going to hell and she has other stuffs to do than going to church. .but now she's calling me names, spreading propaganda.. etc etc.. i'm really hurt to see her like this..

Well I'm not quite sure what my thing is called but it is a knee condition that I have in only one knee. It is basically general unwellness of the knee cartilage. I will grow out of it eventually, but right now most days it is swollen and some days very painful to walk on. It is a bummer because it means sometimes I can't join in with the games at youth and school. There is also a possibility that I might have a heart problem, but I'm going in for some testing next month to find out if I do or not. I'm not complaining though compared to some people I have it easy.

I also have a couple of mental health issues.

God Bless Ya

I have a little bundle of digestive problems.

My main issue is Acid Reflux Disease. At least, thats the source of my issues. Whether I was born with it or it developed over time I'm not sure. I do know that I do not have an upper sphincter leading from my stomach to my esophagus and I have a malformed lower sphincter leading from my stomach to my small intestine. So I get heartburn everyday, almost constantly. And I digest stomach acid frequently so that upsets my whole system.

Five years ago I had an upper GI (camera down the throat) done and, at that time, there was no growth or permanent damage to my esophagus, stomach lining, or small intestine but I'm always at the risk of developing stomach cancer because of this and there is nothing that can really be done about it. Or I know of nothing that can ever be done about it. No doctor has ever said even a smidgen of medicine could help me. I used to take pills for acid reflux but they didn't really do anything so I quit them, I dislike pill popping to solve problems.

Wow.. I spotted this thread and thought "sure, I'll throw my few and odd problems out there for the heck of it." But after going through the first pages of it, I have decided against it. My issues may give me grief now and again but I've been dealing with it and it's not that big of a deal in comparison. Cheers to all of you for still being here!

Aww.. Hun, I would be so good if you could get that medical insurance and get to a doctor... It'd be better if you knew now so that you can get the treatment you are needing.

For me, I have Poly Cystic Ovary Syndrome, but whilst it can be annoying, it's not a real big deal anymore. I used to have scoliosis, but thankfully, Jesus healed me when I was 18 :D God is Good. Other than general allergies etc etc, I'm a happy camper :D

What did you do for your poly cyst syndrome? Did they go away or were they treated?

I have Hashimoto's disease and I have an enlarged thyroid. I also suffer from Depression and Bipolar. I thank the Lord for insurance!!

I had a sluggish thyroid and can tell you that coconut oil works like a charm along with kelp/iodine! I used to get cold easily and have really dry skin.

I have endometriosis and a cardiac arrhythmia. My heart sounds funky but it doesn't seem to cause any problems. Luckily, the endo doesn't cause too many problems, I have some pain but not like some people. Haven't tried to get pregnant yet so I guess we'll see how that goes one day. I had/have a cyst on my ovary, which may be caused by the endo, not sure.

I was born with a birth defect called Cleidocranial Dysplasia. Which means I lack both collarbones, my bone structure is really weak, I have a lot of dental problems. Also because of the birth defect I developed scoliosis and i also have JRA (Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis) Which means my immune system is basically attacking itself. I was diagonosed with scoliosis when I was 12 and I developed JRA when I was 13. I have JRA in my knees, elbows and hips. I have no health insurance so I can't recieve medication for the JRA or get the physical therapy I need. So I do my best to stay active daily which helps my joints immensly.

God gave me a body. Its dysfunctional but its more than some have so I'm not complaining. When I turn 18 in about 13 months I can get me the insurance I need and start taking care of my body and hopefully stop the progression of my issues.

Lately I have developed migranes tho. They don't always continue through out the day but I always wake up with horrible headaches or migranes. Not sure what thats about though...

I've been anemic, had a partial hysterectomy and had thyroid issues and now it's being taken care of. Feel pretty good at 54 to tell you the truth! I can certainly feel for you all with your issues, cause I know what it's like to feel good, but not that good.

Have you gone to God for your healing? He is a delivering God!;) Amen?
