Do Lutherans, Methodists, Catholics, all go to heaven? They believe differently but they all go to heaven?

Take a look at Romans 14:1-8joebobned said:Do Lutherans, Methodists, Catholics, all go to heaven? They believe differently but they all go to heaven?
If anyone in these churches have confessed Jesus as Lord, believe on Him for the forgiveness of their sins and accepted His free gift of salvation. They don't go to heaven for what they have done but for what Christ has done for them.joebobned said:Do Lutherans, Methodists, Catholics, all go to heaven? If we were on a desert island we probably wouldn't have this conversation.joebobned said:Do Lutherans, Methodists, Catholics, all go to heaven? They believe differently but they all go to heaven?

Hi there!

I personally like professing "Christians" to actually be saved, born again, and following The Holy Bible in its teachings.
The harsh reality is... those in the CoJCoLDS's do not believe that the Christ of Calvary has the attributes of the trinitarian, tri-une God, therefore when a member of the CoJCoLDS's seeks redemption, it is not in the same Christ, nor are the teachings that lead to that step in salvation's plan true to the Bible.
I don't think you can comprehend the question you asked...
"what kind of Christian should I be?"
There is only one way to be a Christian. One may carry the label all of their life and have that label attached to their person and actions, but if heart isn't tatooed "property of Christ"... they are as lost as ever.
I would ask you to seek the true Christ of Calvary and the redemptive power of that Christ.

God make these promises to us! That if we do believe these things, we are saved! However, I feel IMHO that we should be very careful judging others heart condition. As that God says HE alone can do this. For me, I do not worry about who is not saved, I treat all the same, and try everything against Gods word through prayer. God tells us that All are given the oppourtunity, but many will not be saved.Serapha said:Hi there!

Those believers who constitute the "body of Christ" will go to heaven. To be a part of the body of Christ, one must first believe in the redemptive nature of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ taking victory over sin, satan and death.
No... not "all Lutherans", not "all Methodists", nor "all Catholics" will go to heaven, only those who a part of the body of Christ as judged in heart and soul by God, and not by the works of baptism or membership, but by the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, aka being born again.

Serapha is so right, there is NOTHING we can do to earn salvation but to have faith, Believe in Jesus Christ -Many are "called" or invited with the message of repentance (22:14; 21:32), but only those who respond worthily will share the inheritance of the chosen covenant people (also Jeremias 1971:131); compare 7:13-23.

Be the kind of christian that Jesus wants you to be. You dont need to be a part of a denomination. Just try and find a church that you feel you can worship God properly in.joebobned said:Do Lutherans, Methodists, Catholics, all go to heaven? They believe differently but they all go to heaven?
