What else is talent? Talent isn't complex rhyming, is it?
Of couse, it's not. There's definitely more to it. It's not just what you say, but how you say it. The way he strings his rhymes together, that's talent, regardless of the content.

you'd think a hardcore gangster man would sound more manly....the other things i think about him will remain thoughts to keep this post safe.
I don't think he ever portrayed himself as "hardcore gansta man". I think that's obvious.

And mama said she wants to show how far she can float
And don’t worry about that little boo-boo on her throat
It’s just a little scratch - it don’t hurt, her was eatin
Dinner while you were sweepin and spilled ketchup on her shirt

Mama’s too sweepy to hear you screamin in her ear (ma-maa!)
That’s why you can’t get her to wake, but don’t worry
Da-da made a nice bed for mommy at the bottom of the lake
Here, you wanna help da-da tie a rope around this rock? (yeah!)
We’ll tie it to her footsie then we’ll roll her off the dock

MMM MMM thats good stuff. its called "shock rock" or in this case "shock rap" it gets more publicity than about shootin other ganstas these days. But its Trash none the less.

Ahh, "Just The Two of Us" (later renamed Bonny & Clyde '97). Classic Eminem. He released that song before he got famous, btw. Besides, it is not "shock rap"- shock rap is much worse than this. I've heard worse from other mainstream artists like Marylin and Britney Spears and Slipknot: "I'll slit your throat and **** the wound". And that's just one single line.

And yes, they're all trash. You're right.

Eh, I can take or leave that song. What about "Cleaning Out My Closet"? That is a great song of Em's that has "highly offensive" lyrics. Are the lyrics to that song (I'll refrain from sharing them here) not good because of profanity and/or harsh material?

I haven't heard that one. I think his newest stuff is just blah. I've seen clips from the video so I can imagine what the song's about.

It's off the Eminem show, which was definitely a step down, but still tolerable at moments, IMO.

In my mind, it seemed like one of those fake "honesty" tracks that are very popular these days- I liked "Say Goodbye To Hollywood" though :) (which apparantly wasn't very popular with critics?). Nonetheless, the days of tracks like "Stan" and "Kim" are over, and they're not coming back.
