Hmmm arent postmills just more positiv amills? Btw, i think know about some catholic amills that are more postmill that some protestant postmills! It was so much easier for the first generation of christans that didnt have to deal with all these views! I vote for simplicity every time.

Greetings.
Instead of being headed for a great harvest in which millions of
people will get saved and brought into the church, we could be
headed for a great apostasy (2 Thessalonians 2:3) in which millions
of people in the church could depart from the faith (1 Timothy 4:1,
2 Timothy 2:3-4) during a time of great, worldwide persecution
against the church (Matthew 24:9-13).
Note that the harvest of Revelation 14:14-16 could symbolize Jesus
reaping into heaven all of the souls of those in the church who will
be killed by the Antichrist (Revelation 14:12-13, 13:7-10, 20:4) for
refusing to worship him (Revelation 14:9-11).

Instead of the Pope being the Antichrist himself, the next Pope could become the False Prophet of the Antichrist (Revelation
13:11-18, 19:20).
The current Pope probably would affirm that Jesus is the Christ, that Jesus is the Son of God, and that Christ is in the flesh. The Antichrist, on the other hand, will deny that Jesus is the Christ (1 John 2:22), will deny that Jesus is the Son of God (1 John 2:22), and will deny that Christ is in the flesh (1 John 4:3).
The man who will become the Antichrist's False Prophet (Revelation 13:11-16, Revelation 16:13, Revelation 19:20) could currently be a (secretly apostate) Cardinal in the Roman Catholic Church, preparing himself to become the next Pope. If he becomes the next Pope, he could begin his tenure by making a great push for peace and unity between Christianity and Islam. He could say something like: "Why do we fight each other? Are we not all the spiritual children of Abraham and of his God, the one God? Can't we lay aside our foolish, man-made differences of theology, which have done us no good at all, but only brought us hatred and violence, and unite into one religion of Abraham, one religion of peace, based on love for the one God and love for our fellow man? What is more important than this (Mark 12:30-31)?"
If the False Prophet becomes the next Pope, he could be so skillful in elucidating what the moderate Muslims could call "the true, peaceful, loving nature of Islam", that he could be hailed by them worldwide as (in their words) "A Great Imam, come to rescue our beloved Islam from the terrible reputation falsely given to it by the terrorists". In this way, the next Pope could come to hold high positions of power in two religions at the same time, which could be symbolized by the "two horns" of the False Prophet (Revelation 13:11).
The False Prophet could try to employ the Biblical prophecy of the second coming of Jesus, as well as the Muslim prophecy which says that the miracle-working prophet Jesus will return bodily from heaven in the last days to bring the whole earth into the worship of the true God. For the False Prophet could claim (falsely) that he is Jesus, returned to bring the whole earth into the worship of the true God, and he could perform amazing miracles (Revelation 13:13) as purported "proof" of his claim (cf. John 3:2).
Once the False Prophet by his amazing miracles has brought the whole earth under his spell (Revelation 13:13-16, Revelation 19:20), including most nominal Muslims and Christians (who may not care much for scriptural dogma, but could go ga-ga over his signs and wonders), he could begin to "reveal" to the world (what he could call) "The real message which was spoken by me (Jesus) at my first coming, and by the great prophet Mohammed, but which message became corrupted by power-hungry men when they copied and changed the early manuscripts of the Bible and the Koran". He could then gradually initiate the world into the Antichrist's Luciferian Gnosticism (1 John 4:3, Revelation 13:4-5), a religion which could have existed since ancient times in some "mystery" cults, and which still exists today in the highest degree of initiation of a worldwide secret society.
The False Prophet could miraculously call fire down from heaven (Revelation 13:13) as purported "proof" that Lucifer (the dragon) and the Antichrist (the beast) are the true God (Revelation 13:4,8). This would be a counterfeit of when the true prophet Elijah miraculously called fire down from heaven to prove that YHWH is the true God (1 Kings 18:37-39).
During the 42-month worldwide reign of the Antichrist (Revelation 13:5), the world will worship Satan (the dragon) and the Antichrist (the beast) (Revelation 13:4,8, Revelation 12:9). Satan could be worshipped not as "Satan", which most everyone sees as a bad name (it means "Adversary"), but as "Lucifer" (Isaiah 14:12), which means "the morning star". Because the Antichrist will utterly revile the true God, YHWH (Revelation 13:6, Daniel 11:36), the Antichrist could lie and say that it's YHWH who is the true "Satan", the true "Adversary" of mankind, so that the Antichrist will deceive the world into turning against YHWH.
As a Gnostic, the Antichrist will deny that Christ is in the flesh (1 John 4:3). The Antichrist will also deny that Jesus is the Christ (1 John 2:22). The Antichrist and his False Prophet could say that (the non-flesh) Lucifer is the Christ, that the "new name" of Christ (Revelation 3:12) is "Lucifer Christ", for just as "Lucifer" (Isaiah 14:12) means "the morning star", so Christ is the morning star (Revelation 22:16). Also, Christ identified himself with the serpent (John 3:14), and Lucifer (the devil) is the serpent (Revelation 12:9).
The truth is that Lucifer fell from his office of morning star (Isaiah 14:12) and became Satan (cf. Luke 10:18); Jesus the Christ has taken over the office of morning star (Revelation 22:16). And Jesus the Christ identified himself only with the brass serpent on the pole in Numbers 21:8-9 (John 3:14), which typified Jesus the Christ's crucifixion for our sins (John 19:16, Matthew 26:28).
Nonetheless, the Antichrist could falsely say that Lucifer is the Christ and the true God of mankind, and that the False Prophet is the miracle-working prophet Jesus (John 3:2, Acts 3:22-24), returned to point the world to the true Christ/God. The Antichrist could falsely say that he (the Antichrist) is the human/divine "Son" of Lucifer, who must be be worshipped as God along with Lucifer (Revelation 13:4,8). This would be similar to how Biblical Christians now rightly worship the human/divine Jesus Christ (John 1:1,14) as God (the Son) along with God the Father (John 20:28, Hebrews 1:8).

The prophecy of Revelation 13:4-18 is not false. It refers to the
beast (the Antichrist) and to his False Prophet (Revelation 19:20).
Because the prophecy of Revelation 13:4-18 has never been fulfilled,
two men will become the Antichrist and the False Prophet in the
future. But there is no need to hold one's breath over any man being
the Antichrist whose name does not equal six hundred and sixty-six in
gematria (Revelation 13:17b-18). There is also no need to hold one's
breath over any man being the Antichrist who is not from a country
the territory of which used to be part of one of the four Diadochian
kingdoms which succeeded the Greek Empire of Alexander the Great
(Daniel 8:8-9,21-25). So the Antichrist will probably come from the
Middle East. He could be an Arab, from Tyre, Lebanon (Ezekiel 28:2,
cf. 2 Thessalonians 2:4), with a name like "Nabil Abdullah Falakal al-
Hakim", which adds up to 666 in gematria.
The False Prophet symbolically has two horns (Revelation 13:11),
which could represent his holding two positions of power at the
same time. These could be two positions of religious power. He
could become both both Pope and Imam at the same time, revered
and followed by both many Christians and many Muslims at the same
time. Instead of being the current Pope, he could be the next Pope.
He could start out his tenure as Pope by making a great push for
(in his words) "Peace and Unity between Christianity and Islam. Let
us form One Religion of Abraham, One Religion of Peace, based on
Love for the One God and Love for our fellow man. All else is
unimportant and leads only to division and strife and terror".
Moderate Muslims worldwide could consider him (in their words)
"So skillful in elucidating the true, peaceful nature of Islam. He has
rescued our faith from the ignominy brought upon it by the radicals
and terrorists. He is a Great Imam from God".
Once the False Prophet has seduced the whole world into believing
that he is a good man, teaching the truth, and performing miracles
from God (Revelation 13:13-14, Revelation 19:20), he could claim
(in his words): "I am not just any teacher (Imam), but the Teacher
Himself, Jesus of Nazareth, returned in spirit to point the world to
the true Christ". For the Antichrist will deny that Jesus himself is
the Christ (1 John 2:22), and will deny that Christ himself has
become flesh (1 John 4:3). The Antichrist will bring the world
instead into the worship of Lucifer (Satan) the dragon (Revelation
13:4), whom he could claim is the true Christ. For Lucifer is the
morning star (Isaiah 14:12) and Christ is the morning star
(Revelation 22:16). The truth is that Lucifer fell from his office of

Lucifer in the bottomless pit (Revelation 20:1-3). Jesus will then set
up his millennial kingdom on the earth (Revelation 20:4-6, 5:10,
2:26-29).

Used to be a Dispensational Pre-Tribulation Pre-Millennialist. That was when I first accepted Christ. Then I dropped the Dispensationalist Pre-Tribulation and was a Historic Pre-Millennialist. Further study on the matter has moved me to the theological camp of Amillennialism...

How would you describe your "endtime" view?
You don't have to defend your view - just explain it briefly. Or explain it with as much detail as you want. It can be a common view, a modified view or even a view unique to you. If you are thinking of possibilities or even don't have a view, then that's fine to post anything along those lines. I suspect there is a lot of diversity in this forum...
I do ask that posters refrain from attempts to attack or disprove other views in this thread. Heck, you have the rest of the eschatology forum to do that if you want!
Feel free though to ask questions or ask for definitions of terms. A lot of people aren't familiar with the variety of end-times views and terms that are out there...

No one will know when its coming. Everyone who says they know when the end is nigh is either a liar or delusional. It could be tonight, it could be a million years from now... the point is that we don't know, so we shouldn't worry about it, expecting God to come and Deus ex Machina everything better, but we should all live as if we will meet God the next minute in everything we do.

Most here would agree that the biggest danger or threat is complacency. Not fully understanding what Revelation or other Bible books say about the end and the players involved or a "It'll never happen, not just yet" attitude is just what the wicked one wants. He wants all sincere Christians to be in a state of confusion so that the good news about the Christ is veiled from people.
So many here have differing ideas about say, who the False Prophet is or who the Anti-Christ is. It doesn't have to be one person, rather, it could be a whole Governmental body or Authortarian group that puts the intent of Satan into people's minds. What is the ultimate goal of Satan? To lead people away from the living God and as many as possible before the end comes. As the date of the end is not found anywhere Satan will use anything to hand to keep people nicely confused or apathetic. Just wait and see. When 2012 comes the hysteria surrounding the end of the Mayan Calender or the possible collision of Planet X with the Earth might cause even more people to view what the Bible says about the end with scorn. Equally it might have the opposite effect when such things fail to live up to expectation.
It's just interesting to note just how scared people are of actually dying. It shows that death is not a natural thing for humans at all, that we want to live longer and enjoy life and as happily as possible. I remember reading a book by Ellen White (co-founder of the Seventh Day Adventist movement) in that she said enough time had passed by to show that man cannot live without God and that so much blood had been shed that there was really no reason for God to delay in bringing about the End of the Age. This book was written in 1892, and see how much pain man has brought upon himself since then. Why the delay? God wishes us all to come to an understanding about him is one line of reasoning. The other is that only He knows the date to bring an end to Satan's bloody reign on the Earth. God is the Great Timekeeper and he will act when it is his time to do so, and not a moment before.

I am a Preterist, though the more I read/study the Bible, the more I am leaning toward Full Preterist....not quite yet though....
