What is the weirdest "Christian" doctrine you have ever personally encountered?

I'm going to say the weirdest thing I ever encountered was when I was a kid and a man picked up a water moccasin out of a submerged fish cage to save its life from my grandparents who were about to kill it and telling them "don't hurt God's little creature."

To which my grandfather responded "well you better get in your car and keep driving because if you put God's little creature down around here, I'm gonna kill it."

Oh I just heard that the devil, since he is the lightbearer and god of this world, is in the business of bending light, so that we can't see that the earth is actually hollow, like this:

forgive me, i can't help it, i know it is a pet issue, but something about a bunch of gentiles trying to act Jewish, wearing talits, blowing shofars, saying yeshua instead of Jesus, keeping sabbath, and feasts, and no longer eating certain foods, to me is weird, and shows a lack of an ego identity. No disrespect intended.


I actually had Jewish woman agree with me right here on the forum, when I said it's like when a white kid, who is from a culturally white saturated neighborhood, starts to take on gangwear clothing, and acts gangbangerish, it just looks so silly, but at least usually he may be 17, but when adult gentiles don't know who they are yet, it's pretty sad.

I've had a Pastor friend tell me that here in NC there is a AG church that believes in purification by urination. Seriously, the practice is a person may go and sit on any front pew and pray. As they pray if they urinate on themselves it means their sins have been atoned for, they will have their requests, AND they are filled with the Holy Spirit. Yup

Because using the actual name of Messiah, the one that Peter said was the only name under Heaven by which we can be saved, is so wrong.

I don't get why you have such a problem with actually doing the things that God has said to do. Things that can lead us to a greater understanding of who He is.

Yes that one's very annoying. They also use it with the hollow earth theory. Everyone is crazy, the earth is hollow, because the Bible says it and if you don't see it you're blind.
