What is the weirdest "Christian" doctrine you have ever personally encountered?

Another weird one:

That it is 'wrong' to exercise discernment and test for validity anyone's spiritual experience that they declare is 'of God'.

Some charismatics here in Honduras believe that if a person vomits during worship, it means that the demon is expelled from whomever they are praying for.

Sometimes when a demon comes out of someone... it is manifested this way, so this is not all that strange especially in a country where there is a strong demonic presence.

One (not Jewish) woman in church was wearing an Israeli flag over her head, it looked real funny.

It is a blessing to the Lord when people love Israel... He says those that bless Israel will be blessed of the Lord. Good for her!

The doctrine that God causes all things that happen, good or bad.

That's one of satan's slickest deceptions that he twists scripture to get people to believe that.... God is causing / allowing bad things to happen so we must not oppose it, when it's satan that's behind it according to what Jesus said in John 10:10. It's hard to tell the Lord that He doesn't know whassup!

I've had a Pastor friend tell me that here in NC there is a AG church that believes in purification by urination. Seriously, the practice is a person may go and sit on any front pew and pray. As they pray if they urinate on themselves it means their sins have been atoned for, they will have their requests, AND they are filled with the Holy Spirit. Yup

Wow! I bet they'd take up an offering for you and promote you to Pastor if you went #2

King James Only-ism! It's thoroughly embarrassing.

The KJV has far fewer errors in it than these new satanic translations that have come out in the past 40 years or so that literally change what God said in the original texts!

That I am right and everyone else is wrong because I can prove it using the bible..

Yeah, we wouldn't want what God said in His Word to get in the way of what we decide to believe :sorry:

the belief that barack obama is the antichrist

Really! He is AN anti-christ... but, probably not THE anti-christ

Well the problem really is as another poster so brilliantly put it: "Because there are various opinions, one can choose blindly to pick the one that validates their own doctrine..."

Another weird one:

The gifts and calling of God are without repentance, so the absence of the fruit of the Spirit (love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control) in one's life isn't important.
