"If ye love me, keep my commandments" - Christ.Mormons claim that salvation is found in Christ. But that salvation and every single blessing has to be earned according to what they are taught.
Doctrine and Covenants 130
20 There is a law, irrevocably decreed in heaven before the foundations of this world, upon which all blessings are predicated—
21 And when we obtain any blessing from God, it is by obedience to that law upon which it is predicated.
3 We believe that through the Atonement of Christ, all mankind may be saved, by obedience to the laws and ordinances of the Gospel.
Articles of Faith 1
I actually find Galatians 1 to be a chapter incredibly endorsing of the LDS faith and continuing revelation from God.
Your information is so good and accurate. I suggest using another link so that you don't end up with extra letters in the text.
For instance, Verse 18 "It is thee baptism for the dead" should read "the baptism for the dead.
Your link Doctrine and Covenants 128 does that.

The central focus of LDS epistemology is revelation and asking God directly for revelation. With all due respect, I don't see that in other Christian groups.I really do not see how you can endorse what Joseph Smith claimed by Galatians 1.
"If ye love me, keep my commandments" - Christ.
Galatians 1:8
But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
Considering how Joseph Smith received this so called new revelation we should apply this verse.
Like I said earlier I actually find Gal. 1 greatly AFFIRMS my LDS faith, a faith with stresses going to God and receiving revelation directly from Him.No one should listen to Joseph Smith or Muhammad because of this verse. They present "other" gospels and there is no gospel other than the one Jesus and the original Apostles presented in holy scripture.

Honestly, upon thorough study of both, I don't see a single "contradiction" that stands up to study. But how do you account for LDS doctrines that directly contradict the Bible?
Like I said, I find none of these "contradictions" hold up study (just like all the lists out there about "the Bible contradicts itself"). I also find that both lists are frequently downright deceptive and... I REALLY don't believe follower of Christ (or any ethical person) should do such things.
FYI - canned "contradiction" lists merely represent the people who put forward those lists lying to their audiences.
For example, they bring out the old "Alma 18" canard in the second link.
Anyone who takes even a second to read the chapter heading will understand how what they're telling you is wrong.
Alma 18
You see, the chapter is about a guy named Ammon witnessing to King Lamoni. Lamoni's people conceive of God as a "Great Spirit", and Ammon is using the term since that's what Lamoni is familiar with.
It straight up says that in verse 5, something that far too many critics of the church willfully ignore.
So yeah - have you actually read any of those LDS citations in context?
Honestly, upon thorough study of both, I don't see a single "contradiction" that stands up to study.
But the reason I find Gal 1 so solidifies my faith is it's stress on going straight to God for confirmation of Truth and not just taking anyone else word for it.
